Account/Grimoire/Codes bugged?

So I've been playing Destiny on and off since launch, and just yesterday decided to create my Bungie.net account and link it with my X-Box Live account so I can view the Grimoire. So I create my account, link it, and get an error message to the tune of 'error connecting to Live'. At first my account doesn't seem linked, then after a few refreshes it starts showing my Live friends list, so all seems well. However, when I go to the 'Grimoire' section, it just throws me into my empty account profile page. I entered in all of the Bungie codes for emblems and shaders and received nothing in-game. When I go to my profile page it says it's waiting for validation of my email - but I never got a validation email. Clicking to send another validation email takes me to an error page saying I've requested too many emails - and to 'cool down', even though I've not requested a single validation previously. I was tempted to unlink my account and try again - but was afraid I wouldn't be able to redeem the Bungie codes afterwards. What gives? Anyone else having this problem?
