Double the weekly limit for Vanguard & Crucible marks!
Well, I just hit the weekly limit for both Vanguard AND Crucible marks, again. I'm still gonna need a helluva lot more if I hope to get the full set of New Monarchy armor, and the Legendary auto-rifle I want.
Thing is, this is proving to be very tedious, as I have to wait until Tuesday for the weekly limit to reset again before I can earn any more. Then, I'll be able to save up enough to get my new helmet, but I'll have to wait another week to get my new boots.
As for weapons... I'm thinking of getting either Doctor Nope or The Comedian from the Vanguard (I haven't decided yet), but I only have 15 Vanguard marks left; meaning it's gonna take me two weeks just to get one of them.
It's only been two weeks, but this is really starting to annoy me. Anyone think they should raise the weekly limit to [b]200[/b]?

If they did that, you could have all faction gear in a couple weeks (if you're rank 3). The game has been out for 6 months, tdb for 4 months. Even at 100 marks a week, how do you not have new monarchy weapons?

4 RepliesI've got way too much going on outside of Destiny to meet the current limit. I think Bungie may consider what's reasonable for the average person, considering our individual lives in the real world. If a player is maxing both vanguard AND crucible marks before the week is over, they may need to step outside for a while.

4 RepliesSomething needs to be done about the marks (as well as many many other issues) and if those lazy no good fools at bungie would get of their overpaid butts and fix these issues it would make life easier. STOP FORCEING PLAYERS TO DO WHAT YOU WANT THEM TO DO. If I want to play 24/7 and have 1000 marks at the end of each week who cares that is my choice. Bungie has 2 options here either 1 increase the cap and makes player happy or 2 leave it and piss players off. either way the players WILL go play other games the only difference is when and whether or not the player will want to come back. and I think pissing them off wont be very inviting for them to come back.

The limit serves to keep the player base as populace as possible by ensuring that the most addicted of us have to keep coming back week after week due to these sorts of caps. As opposed to letting us burn through it and be done within the month. 2: You can use multiple characters to save up vanguard and crucible marks. Currently I'm saving marks on my main character, a Hunter, for a helmet which costs 125 marks... I think. Whilst saving vanguard marks on my Titan towards the better sparrows. And once I've bought it, I'll transfer it through the vault to my Hunter. So it encourages us to use multiple characters, and to play more. These are two huge boons for the game in the long term.

No the weekly limit is fine as it is. If anything, they need too raise the max you can hold from 200 too 400.

I understand where Bungie was going with the mark cap. I think maybe they could do with raising it to at least 150, considering that's the most expensive piece of armor

Then it will cut the time people will play the game in half, from 2 months to 1 month since you can buy the best of everything real quick. Don't you know the games supposed to last 10 years, maybe the 100 a week limits a glitch, it's supposed to be 10 a week.

The Comedian is a lot better than Doctor Nope, I find. Doctor Nope has a super high rate of fire/reload speed, but barely any impact. I find the Comedian a lot more useful.

I work 9-12 hours a day, add in sleep, commute, eating and hygiene and I still end up having to wait days to be able to acquire additional marks. I'm not happy about it. I'm waiting half the week to get my helmet because I need 1 more mark. its frik'n stupid. I'm curious why the capped it at all actually. Let us, the players decide the pace of our vangaurd progression and remove this cap all together would be preferred but I'd settle for raising the cap. Edit: I'll take a break and go play something else in the mean time. I'm not trying to farm drops because the RNG is a joke. Of all the legendary engrams I've looted all have been junk or side grades and the blues have panned out just well enough to get me to 25 so I can run lv24 strikes. Guess I could try pvp...the game is fun, granted, but having Bungie tie my shoe strings together so I cant run is annoying.
