So like I've said earlier and like many others, once a raid is beaten and walkthroughs are made it's only a matter of time before this raid is considered easy and on constant farm. It didn't take very long for the first group to take the raid down either, actually very short compared to other games.
There should be matchmaking added for raids, and everything else. That way we don't need to keep seeing LFG posts here, and posts about match making ;)
Raids are tough for the first week/month, then it's cake. That's how about how it always works in games.
Edit: Clearly I'm not asking for random people every time. The LFG would auto match a team together In Game. After that it will hold onto the names in your game for the next week. That way you can easily group up again. Missing someone? Well let LFG find a person for that too.

They should add it. If you don't want to deal with randoms, then go in with 6 friends.

Edited by MosherNonMosher: 9/22/2014 11:18:08 AMOh my god, any one who has attempted the raid or completed knows that matchmaking just wont work. Gathering a group of people and completing the raid is part of the raid, it creates a bond between the six people and when you finally beat it its one of the greatest experiences you can have in a video game and you get to share it with your new friends, not some random people you met in matchmaking (assuming by some miracle you beat the raid).

Not all of us have a full team of people we can easily organize to play with. Everyone has different schedules. BUNGIE PLEASE ADD MATCHMAKING. I'd like to actually participate in Raids...
-
Lol at all the people that think it can be done with randoms.
-
Only if they make mic required. Otherwise, it can be painful

I think you should try the Raid 1st before wanting match making. There will be numerous times where you may get match with someone doing it for the 1st time and have no clue what to do.. that one person could mess everything up and have you stuck at one spot for hours then eventually leave. Then those other 4 good people may leave too and suddenly you find yourself going back to orbit to find another team until finally you give up on trying to raid because you keep getting placed in fail teams instead of actually trying to play with other people to see if you vibe well with their play style.

Random people are better

You have strikes, daily heroics, weekly heroics and nightfall heroics. Raids are supposed to be different. This is one of the ways they are different.. Matchmaking would not end well.

As long as everyone knows that the raid is hard going in I don't see why we can't have matchmaking. Instead people just go on the internet to find randoms to play with anyway so I don't see what the big deal is about "randoms can't work together" Maybe they could require being level 27 to enter the raid, or even make different levels of difficulty for it for the people who just want to play through it for story purposes and so that they can feel that they are getting the most out of the game

People who vote no in my opinion are just selfish . If randoms want to have a go at raids you are not effected at all and its nothing to do with you . Bungie you have really messed up this time by only appealing to a very small portion of players and basically excluding a the masses .

I have changed my opinion somewhat. I used to be opposed to the matchmaking but I'm softening a little. I haven't attempted getting a group together because I am waiting until I am 26. But I'm thinking maybe there should be no matchmaking for the first month or so and after that only with a mic. By that time so many people will know how to beat it that the novelty will have worn off. I'm not saying it will be easy, just more accessible so the matchmaking won't be as important. But I won't be upset either way.
