Bungie's lack of content upon release
I see a lot of complaints about the downfall of destiny being the lack of initial content that was promised yet:
my hours of playtime on destiny: 84 (not even close to finished i'm only at 28)
my hours of playtime on skyrim: 92 (all quests finished, skill tree's maxed, all daedric artifacts found, all DLC completed 100%)
my hours of playtime on borderlands: 76 (after all DLC and replaying the campaign 4 times on multiple characters)
Now yes this is my personal experience with each of these games that everyone seems to think destiny needs to emulate more. and I'm sure some of you have racked up 300+ hours playing each of these but it's been AFTER you have completed all initial content and played out the game anyway. I tend to "no-life" games upon release and Destiny has to be the first one i have yet to say I've completed in a weeks time of non-stop grinding
so you all say what you want, but this game is insanely gratifying and has more initial content than all these god tier games you seem to think just outclass destiny so much that it's unplayable.

I have 2620 hours on tf2. Obviously tf2 has 31x more content than Destiny. Or is it not fair to count reused maps and events in multiplayer games? Caz i'm betting you've replayed a lot of maps in Destiny OP.

2 RepliesDestiny gave us a lot of content, we choose as a player to blow through it all. No one told us to play for 12 hours straight, or play 5-6 hours a day. We as a gamer wanted to do that. While I admit I feel more content should of been available at launch, Bungie has been good about releasing timed content for us to gobble up. I personally like being slowly feed content because if all the content was there people would blow through it still and still complain there isn't enough. In order for everyone to be happy the game would literally have to be 1000 different games in one. Person A wants a compelling story and wants to play by himself, Person B wants competitive multiplayer and wants new maps and playlists, Person C wants both of those things but also wants the story to have branching effects, etc. Destiny is a good game and a game I will play for the foreseeable future. I hope Bungie though does add some more content as the only thing left in my adventure is raiding and once I am done with that I am pretty much capped out on content.

I don't know how anyone could put that much time into skyrim. Once you've done everything once it get's soooooo god damn boring. It's like yeah i got a great new character idea but i don't want to do this, that, and this again. Every now and then i have an urge to go dungeon crawl in skyrim and like half way through every time i'm like "i don't want to do this." Skyrim was great the first time. still enjoyable the second or 3rd. but not more. I am fully aware of how repetitive destiny is. But the kicker here is it doesn't feel that way to me. That's what really matters.

2 RepliesIt's not how long you have played it but the content you have been playing. I guarantee you there was a lot more repeat content and areas played in Destiny than the games you mentioned. It isn't comparable really, to even compare Destiny to Skyrim is asinine in itself.
