Now I don't want to be an asshole so I will tell you how I got to level 27. 1. If you need legendary armor, you only need to level up one of the factions. Some of the guys here will actually tell you that you have to level up vanguard but I suggest you to level up one of the three factions. Why? you ask, well it's because when you are leveling a faction you have to use their special item. The special item of the factions turns all reputation into faction reputation, that means both vanguard and crucible reputation will add to your grand total, 2. If you need pieces you can farm the temple of crota, that is not a glitch nor an expoit as you are just reloading. Use this spot to farm pieces, maybe blue items, as I have seen maybe 3 purples on my non consecutive 5 hours of farming. 3. If you need an exotic, I can only say three things * Play Crucible, it's fun * Decode purples and pray, don't get your hopes high. (I got my exotic handcannon from a purple dropped by a random Mob on a random mission I was doing for a bounty) * Wait for the exotic mission to pop up, You will eventually get a message about a bounty for an exotic mission. How do you get it? god knows how, just keep doing bounties. Is it hard? -blam!- yeah, It took me around 3 - 4 hours. Important! you will get three missions and will only be able to choose one, just google "exotic weapon mission destiny" and there will be a detailed article of what it takes to do them and which mission you have to choose to get an specific item. (I got my exotic shotgun on the third option that popped out) * buy them from Xur from friday to unday, for 13 strange coins you can buy a weapon, with 23 you can buy a piece or an exotic enegram. DO NOT buy the enegram, as you may know the Cryptarch is color blind. 4.I did all that you said, I am full purple and I am waiting for Xur to appear but I am not level 27 yet, what happened?. Well you just have to take some time upgrading you equipment, for this you will need xp to open the slots and materials to improve the armor itself. There are several guides on how to farm this materials( spinmetal, spirit bloom, etc). You will not be able to fully upgrade your armor, the last upgrade of any exotic armor or weapon requires exotic materials. I hope that this helps you my fellow guardians, see you on the battlefield.
