Bungie, More Melee Weapons!
I had so much fun in the Sword of Crota mission slashing through tons of baddies especially since the controls seemed so polished. I don't know if you guys planned on making more missions like this, or maaaaaaaaaaaybe even implementing it into a class ability one day (*fingers crossed), but either way it would be amazing to see more stuff like this.
If anyone else agrees (or disagrees) use the poll and maybe Bungie will take that concept further!!!! :D:D:D:D

Edited by fizzure: 9/22/2014 3:26:59 PMI feel like we will see the sword much the same way as we see it in the Blade dancer. With their being 3 more subclasses that have yet to be annouced. (I haven't read anywhere that they are confirmed, but the app makes it clear that there 3 slots in the subclass catagory as well) There are 3 elemental powers and each class is derived from harnessing such power: titan: arc/void, hunter: solar/arc, warlock: void/solar. The new subclasses will probably be focused around the remaining three elements for each class. I'd like to speculate that the Titan's "Solar subclass" will allow him to conjure a fire claymore type of weapon that focuses on momentum and power rather than speed and agility like the hunter's Blade dancer. I very much doubt the warlock will get any sort of melee for their subclass... Just my theory on the sword mission feedback. After playing that mission, swords definitely feel like a great fit, and I think they put it in the game to feed the need for both the demand and to garner feedback as to whether or not the should/shouldn't look at them for future DLC/expansions.

A melee weapon, or knuckledusters for the Titan would be good.

Could be a special drop kind of like the weapon spawns in halo, or just a PvE thing. You know, whip it out in a jam or pick it up from a point in the mission similar to the Sword of Crota. Which might I say was fun as hell! It's really fun seeing my guardian in a 3rd person view moving through the battle like that. This game really is gorgeous and it helps to show it off.
