10 PvP Tips for beginners.

1. No matter how much you like COD, Destiny is not run and gun. 2. Use your radar. It is your best friend. 3. Play with friends, since there is no open communication in matchmaking... you will miss out on call outs and fun times screaming at each other because you just got blade danced on twice in a row! 4. Learn to aim at the face accurately. Doing body damage is a joke conpared to consecutive headshots from any weapon. 5. Rockets are great but the real damage is done with the MGs. 6. When heavy ammo is available, you snag it as fast as possible. Keeping it out of your opponents hand is key. 7. Strategize your attacks. Just running out in the open all the time will get you mowed down by experienced players, pick the fights you know you can win. 8. If you suspect someone is around the corner camping with a shotty... they probably are. 9. Do not waste supers on just one person... time your special for maximum effectiveness. 10. Control zones, this is not camping. This is effectively controlling a strongpoint on the map where the enemy has to come to you, but you have the advantage.

 • Fallenshinobi's Guide to Success 1. In CQB Jump... ALOT typically, people only strafe. If you can jump over them, it's easier to aim facing down than it is to aim facing up. You'll be able to track your opponent better with practice, and they won't track you well. Now... Don't get me started with Blink. Blink behind them. And they're dead. Match that with a shotgun or fusion rifle and you'll dominate. 2. Heavy weapons. Don't under estimate them. Take the time to get them, it only takes about 3 seconds. Most of the time people don't get them, which is kinda dumb. You have about 10 seconds where they announce its coming so you can start making your way to it. & as op said use a machine gun you can get multiple kills easily and accurately. Splash damage is great. but accuracy is key 3. Run and Gun. Here's where I disagree wth the OP. I believe you can run and gun. Is it like COD? Nope. Not at all. It's a totally different animal. But if you know how to do it. You can do it great. This is where all the jumping comes in. Often times you run into multiple people. If you aren't at a distance and like me use a pulse rifle... Then you should use a fusion rifle. you run into a group of people. Kill that first person and JUMP that's where they'll lose you. Then you have enough time to charge up the fusion rifle and get that second kill. Again, with blink it's even more effective. 4. DONT CAPTURE ZONES UNLESS YOU HAVE THE TIME now, I may sound selfish, but it's true. I leave that stuff to my teammates. If you want a higher score and K/D, Don't waste your time there. If it's almost done capping then great, if not move on and let them get it. They'll most likely spawn near you and get it. This time that you take to acquire 25-100 Pts is the difference between the 100+ you could be getting in about 20 seconds. 5. Flank. Flanking in this game is probably the most effective way to get kills if you apply everything I've said. You should be able to track where the team spawns by knowing where your teammates are and understanding that the enemy team always spawns opposite. ALWAYS but without being able to do everything else, you'll get "rekt" if you can't kill them 6. Radar. My list is kinda flipped around a bit. But that's okay. Radar is side chick. She's great to have but some people completely put them aside when they're busy. Don't be that guy. Always look at your radar. Especially when you lose sight of your enemy. In addition it'll help with flanking and jumping because you can track them. 7. Super. Timing your super is essential. Say you have an offensive super, like blade runner or the titan or warlock ones. If you use it too early, you can easily be countered because your opponent may have theirs and can use it against you. Unless you have ridiculous intellect at a 99% effectiveness, don't use it right away. When yours comes on. Don't use it yet. More than likely everyone else does too. 8. Okay I'm too lazy to write the rest. If you got any questions add me on PS3 Fallenshinobi23 Your friendly neighborhood Hunter.
