INSANE DESTINY PLOT THEORY

What if the Traveler is the true darkness which everyone speaks of? Think about it, the Traveler could have destroyed the Fallen's homeworld, which would be why they are called the "Fallen." If the Traveler attacked the Hive's homeworld, well I just think of it like if you poke a bee HIVE, then the bees are going to attack back. As for the Vex, the definition of the word "vex" is to cause distress to, and in the game they say the Vex are a malicious force... But what if the Traveler is the one who caused the Vex distress? All of these alien species fighting against the Traveler may overpower it, so it came to Earth and put everyone under its control in order to form its own army... That would make the Guardians evil as well, even if they're brainwashed by the Traveler's powers. This may be a wild theory, but I also don't believe it's just a coincidence that when you go out of bounds in Halo, it says "killed by the Guardians", I believe that is another one of Bungie's sneaky little tricks that we as the consumer are supposed to put together, in order to reveal the true plot of Destiny. Not to mention the Destiny poster in Halo 3: ODST and the other Halo easter egg(s) in Destiny, but hey, this theory is just my opinion and to me, it makes total sense. I'd really like to know what everyone thinks so please don't hesitate to respond, thanks and have a good day!

You reminded me of this classic:
imagine a video game where you create a hero whose destiny is to save everyone, but throughout the game you start making harder and more questionable decisions, and the game gets darker and darker. and in the end you’re just standing there, clutching the controller and finally realizing you were playing the villain all along
The humans are simply trying to regain what they lost after the collapse. Perhaps the traveler is evil and has been chased through the galaxy by the other races of "darkness" as they are attempting to eradicate the problem of the traveler from their lives. or perhaps not and the story is not some giant mind-blam!-. Only time will tell. Humans however, are mearly trying to recover from near extinction, I don't think this makes us inherantly evil, just tryin to survive on the planet we have always existed on. Humans gonna human. Maybe the traverler -blam!-ed us by coming to Earth and we wouldve been left alone if it never showed up.

Read the lore. Apparently the black garden was a place of life. Also what if we see light differently? What if our white is their black. We assume white things are good but what if the traveler is actually a big evil black ball. That would make the black garden white.

    • I think the more I see this theory, the more convoluted it becomes. Not everything has to be the "Oh Shit we were working for evil this whole time!" plot twist. In fact it'd be even more of a twist for this to NOT be true given how everyone is expecting it.
