I tried posting to #feedback, but apparently only Destiny players can post there.
There's an active disregard of the different sections of this site by Bungie.net's new members. There doesn't seem to be enough Mentors and Ninjas to deal with the non-stop onslaught of Destiny threads that aren't in #destiny or #clans.
#gaming and #community are effectively useless, considering 90%+ of the threads there are about Destiny or people looking for groups to play with. The-powers-that-be are noticeably silent on this problem.
Seriously. Fix your shit.

Bump for ninjas to see

It's October now. Still not any better.
-
Don't worry max. We just have to be patient with the new members. I mean deej says we should treat them with respect while the crap all over this website. That strategy totes seems to be working.
-
it got better, also you are supposed to use #bungie if you don't have destiny related feedback

Month and a half...

Coming up on 2 months since I posted this. Still not any better. Good job.

Poke.
-
Coming up on a month since I posed this. Still no fixes.
-
#gaming looks like New Orleans after Katrina. VOG requests are floating down the streets.
-
Bump. Still no changes.

It's only been a week. Things were crazy for at least a month during previous launches, and this is Bungie's largest launch yet. While I agree that there is an upsetting amount of displaced threads for virtually every forum, I'd hardly say the site is FUBAR. Bungie has a great track record of changing the site to better accommodate their fan's wishes, especially when it directly applies to their game. The fact of the matter is that Destiny is Bungie's top priority. We're going to have to be patient for things to settle down and/or a site fix.
-
I'm just taking a bit of a hiatus from the site until things settle.
-
Although I usually like to give new comers a pass, I'll agree this is getting out of hand. As you said, sadly there isn't enough moderators to handle the onslaught. I honestly wish Bungie would change the descriptions of topics so people better understand where they are posting in. On top of that, though it probably won't happen, it would make some sense if new users couldn't post new topics until they made a certain amount of posts or been here for a while and learned the ropes. However, I recognize this would also cause problems too for people, like Frank Woods, who were frankly banned for no reason.
-
Well, that's because it's impossible to form a team in game unfortunately. The whole "Non-social social game" is the biggest fail destiny has to offer.
-
Quit bitching. Get out of your moms basement and join reality. This is now used to find raid parties since there is no matchmakong. So get over it
-
It has only gotten worse as this goes on. It's even becoming an increasing problem in #offtopic

As a newcomer I think yall forum 'vets' need to be a little more helpful and courteous rather than just get upset and complain. MadMax I'm not even sure if you're a moderator or not but you need to understand that the majority of these forum 'noobs' (myself included) are on here for the same reason as you. To apply a community based resource- that said I think it would be more positive and helpful to help direct certain players rather than just say this site FUBAR this and that and just being negative overall. I'm sure not many people took mind to your jpgs., I personally was wondering who the hell you were. Not a very helpful approach at all sir.

They don't care anymore give up
-
... And until then, the Flood's refugee camp will welcome you with open arms.
-
Oh and it seriously doesn't help that the Destiny app is directly linked with the Bungie forums. I didn't even realize why there was all the fuss over destiny related topics until I hopped on my computer and saw my thread on Bungie.net. you might want to bring that up to whoever at bungie you're addressing your concerns to.

Don't worry they are new members if you mess with them or complain deej will ban you. Don't worry though the mods aren't helping, that's good to know.
