Faction equipment, a Suggestion for Bungie

Bungie, I have a suggestion. Make the Faction items purchasable with Vanguard Marks, not just Crucible Marks. I've always been much more of a PvE guy rather than PvP. There's many people like me as well. Part of my RP in Destiny involves the Factions. So I got to level 20, and promptly equipped my Warlock with a Faction-appropriate Bond so that I could start earning my Faction Rank. Now; with the current set-up, I can do this with either Vanguard Bounties or Crucible Bounties. Awesome. However; upon looking at my chosen Faction's inventory list, I notice that armor and weapons can only be bought with Crucible Marks. What the hell? Now, I've been crunching out the Crucible the last several days as it serves the purpose of gaining Rank in my Faction while also giving me the chance to accrue the necessary Marks to purchase the sweet looking armor that I want. But I would much rather (and much more enjoy) be doing the PvE side of the game and still able to get my Faction's gear. Why am I forced to play the Crucible? Why can't these Faction Vendors also accept Vanguard marks for the Faction equipment and weapons? Allowing either type of Mark to be used for purchase would not be that difficult to implement in a future update, plus it would also make the game much more enjoyable for people like myself. Something to think about and pass down the pipe to the Development team. Please?

  • I feel your pain man. I don't mind PvP. However I don't like Destiny's PvP as enjoyable as other games. I find it hard identify who I'm suppose to shoot at. So I usually just go into Rumble. That way if it moves, I shoot it.

I totally agree....I enjoy PvP with my friends ( since we can communicate and dominate), but not when I am playing by myself. I also have a limited time to play...maybe an hour every now and then....so I can't really commit to the PvP sessions. PVP is fun, but we shouldn't be forced to play it if we want to. I quit an exotic bounty after completing the first half,(Stay alive in 5 strikes), only to find out I had to go the crucible to complete the second half. After playing in the crucible for 3 hours, I was no closer to completing the bounty and, other then gaining crucible marks, I felt like I had wasted my time. I personally am trying to get the FWC stuff for my warlock.... I really enjoy the PvE side of the game and will play PvP from time to time, but I don't enjoy being forced into it.

        • The factions are based off guardians fighting each other for supremacy. They outfit their guardians for the crucible. Use the vanguard if you want to use your vanguard marks. Seeing as the vanguard is the gear that all PvE players should want because non guardian kills give u more super. If you dont like PvP then dont join a faction
