Desticle? Ninja? Floodian?
From what I've gathered so far I'm guessing most of the original members of this forum are annoyed by the massive presence of the new Destiny population and the lack of their consideration of the forum rules, one being universal to most forums, that being to post in the correct areas and not spamming, etc.
I'm guessing that's the gist of it. Correct me if I'm wrong.
I understand how you all feel, I'm also one who joined recently due to Destiny but I can agree with you and you are justified for being upset. It's simple, follow the rules of the site and show some respect to your elders and those of higher rank than you, in this case mods and or older members in general. Not saying we should kiss your "donkeys", rather just simple respect to the community that has been already established.

Floodian- Person that has been browsing The Flood since the old Bnet. Knows everything that The Flood started such as Xbox.com, ifarted69, Porch Day etc.

It is weird that I (as someone who started on these forums due to Destiny) is automatically shown a lack of respect (I am a term called a "desticle"..with clear disrespectful implications)...and I am told I am the lowest of the low on the "forum heirarchy"... But then I am told I better show respect (the thing that is not being shown to me) to others. Sure..there are plenty of people who play Destiny who are not using the forums properly...but this whole double standard of "respect" is just laughable. Guilt by association is not being a mature and respectful forum crowd. The "eye for an eye" retaliation does not put yourself up on a moral pedestal or make you a better person because the other side struck first. You want my respect? Stop the disrespect aimed at me, which started before I even posted something on any thread. I have yet to post an erronous topic in gaming or offtopic. I have contributed to each when I felt I had something to say. But hey, as long as you can measure your e-peen by your forum id creation date, right?

This kind of thing happens every time a new game is released, happened with ODST, Reach, Etc. I wasnt around when Halo 2 and 3 were released but id imagine it was about the same. A lot of people will leave, and those who stay will become good, new community members.

Having said that, you're one of the handful of Desticles I've met that understand what the other Desticles are doing wrong, so kudos for that. But the forums are still overrun with [i]Destiny[/i] forums, and the fücked up part of it is that out of all the Desticlified forums, there's not one I can go to for intelligent [i]Destiny[/i] discussion. Which is a tremendous shame, because I rather like the game. Short, yeah, but it kills time, and I don't have my 360 at the moment.

2 Repliesmy #gaming section is ruined. I can't even find or reply to any good gaming discussions anymore. It's just Destiny spam non-stop. I've never felt so frustrated on a forum before but bungie is doing a good job at it. When Halo 3 and Reach released that had their own sections the other forums never got this flooded before. I don't know why all these new players can't read the top bar and see there is a #destiny section. It's driving me nuts. I'm probably just gunna post less or leave eventually, no point staying at a place that has no more relevant threads for me to post in. I already tried leaving feedback in the feedback forum for an idea to clean gaming section up with an auto filter but that thread was buried in seconds, it's a pointless battle.
