VoG does everything Destiny's other things should have. (VoG spoilers)

Note: [b][i][u]I HAVE NOT SEEN THE ENTIRETY OF THE VAULT OF GLASS.[[/u]/i][/b] [b]I [i]HAVE[/i] HEARD AND SEEN ENOUGH FOR THIS THREAD TO BE RELEVANT HOWEVER, EVEN IF PARTS OF IT DIVE OFF INTO WHAT I HAVE JUST HEARD OR SEEN.[/b] Okay, so here is why The Vault of Glass does everything that the main game SHOULD have done from the start, though in less amounts then this grueling challenge: First of all, let's get the big one out the way: VARIETY. i will explain later, but the VoG has a ton of variety to it as you will see. The opening: I have not seen this alas. i am given to understand however that is a really hard puzzle to open the front door. This is one thing Destiny should have: Puzzles. Riddles, Challenges for those who wish to test their minds rather then their guns. Thfrow us some things we need to figure out to get some cool things. The Templar: This whole boss fight has a ton of variety. First of all, you must defend the confluxes. Then kill the Oracles. The oracles can curse you so that The Templar can kill you with a spell. Then kill the Minotuars Then you kill The Templar, except to even hurt him you need to use a sheild's super to remove his sheild, and protect your party from said party kill. To sum, up, this bosxs has VARIETY. He's more then just a damage sponge. Bosses need more variety to them. The Labrinyth of Gorgons: Now, let me just say this first: [b]I. HATE. STEALTH. LEVELS.[/b] I'm the sort of guy who likes trying to shoot the ultimate evil being that cannot be harmed, just to say -blam!- you. But I must give credit where credit is due. The Labyrinth Of Gorgons is possibly the most tense part of the VoG. You take a massive jump to the bottom, where it's just your team, the darkness, and UNKILLABLE monsters that [b]WILL [/b]OHK YOU ENTIRE PARTY if they so much as spot ONE of you. This makes something not often seen in Destiny: Tension. Like high level scared shitless tension. I was watching Datto and by the end of it they were terrified of The Gorgons spotting them. And it's another thing the VoG does right: Here, in this place, is a foe that cannot be harmed by your tons of dakka. tactics will not work either: This ain't no Templar. You need to step carefully to survive. Use your brain . WATCH things. Pay attention to your surroundings. This is something the VOG does right. The jumping bit: i did not see this. Sorry. But platforming with cool puzzles? Count me in. I again is something new/. The Vex Portal Thing: Now, this seems like the tactics thing again at play. And it is. But that's not what I am here to talk about. What THIS part does right, that nothing else does Since THE GRIMOIRE IS NOT IN GAME, is MYSTERY. And no a teasing mystery either. You find here both Descendant and Precursor vex. In short, you travel form the past to the future to do stuff. This is the point where you know The Vex CAN TIME TRAVEL. AND THEY SURVIVE TO THE FUTURE. That is a hefty implication. Is our quest for nothing? Is this only what CAN occur not what WILL? Can it be prevented? Mystery: Something that should have been done WELL and was here both not elsewhere. I cannot comment on the rest. But to sum up: The Vault of Glass does what Destiny SHOULD hae done.
