Bungie... you have so many mixed messages in your game, one of them, the pvp end game loot system. You (Seemingly) randomly reward people loot in the end game pvp loot system. This is weird since one of the things Bungie likes to say is that WE WANT PEOPLE TO EARN THERE LOOT. This is why there is no trade or marketplace system. So why the hell is someone who owning in a pvp match all the way around with a 6.0 gets nothing, and the noob who literally got 0 kills and 18 deaths gets a legendary engram. My only guess is to keep pvp noob friendly so that EVERYONE has a reason to play. This is stupid. And also goes back on what you already say. I honestly would rather they give no loot at all at the end, then to reward somepeople for doing nothing and give nothing to people who do everything.
Forgive my ranting, just had to get it out
My suggestion for you to keep pvp noob friendly with loot would be to make Players drop random loot RARELY like the AI do in the rest of the game, that way it feels random and grindy like the rest of the game.

I think a good way to fix this is to only give the top 3 players loot . And on skirmish the two number 1 players

There's not a lot of positive energy in your thoughts. So someone who did worse than you got better loot than you. There's no need for the jealous rage, your time will come just as theirs did at some point. I've seen plenty of players high up on the scoreboard get great rewards, and some at the bottom get great rewards; while I'm in the middle getting hee-haw! It's the beauty & curse of the RNG, a double-edged sword, if you will. In the end everyone wins; so is it THAT bad?
-
Yesterday someone with one kill and 8 deaths was rewarded with an exotic sniper rifle and a legendary engramm ...
-
Simple solution, there are 2 item slots. First slot is a reward for being the top 2 or having a good score (I could care more about k/d). The second slot would be a RNG chance for an item. You give poor players a motivation to try for more rewards and less motivation to afk. You also incentive the bad players to keep coming back as they still can get good items. Too frequently I see 0.52 k/d, solo, midgame joining, almost casuing us to lose, players get better rewards then the other 5 of us who won the match by playing the whole time as a team.

PvE loot is completely random why should PvP be any different?
-
I remember the a few days ago after MVP in almost every game I got my first strange coin, I was so happy that I gave everyone in my house a big shock. Then I looked down and saw the worst person got the sun-breakers the gauntlets that I had just got my last strange coin for after hours and hours and hours of grinding. (The worst player joined in late and was afk)
-
Completely agree it's beyond ridiculous, the other night I had a k/d of 6 then 9 and I'm almost always MVP. The best I've got is some blue engrams and a strange coin
-
I think it would be fine if they took equipment out, but left it so that you got random currency or materials. And base it off of how well you did on your team. Right now, it seems like there is no rhyme or reason to how it is rewarded, and it is frustrating to see what other players get, when you get nothing.
-
I know how you feel man. Look at my pvp history. I rarely get rewarded with even rare engrams! Not once have I got a legendary or an exotic. It sucks but oh well. I'm having fun shitting on people in pvp still lol
-
Are you wanting legendary engrams? If so farm them, if you're playing PVP for the PVP then no need to complain, would you feel the same way if you sucked in a match (not saying you do so don't start with the hate) and you got a legendary? Plus I've seen top guys get plenty of legendary engrams, I suck at PVP though and got an ice breaker so I guess I'm not the best example lmao
-
Noticed this happening alot. Wonder how they plan on fixing it. Would be nice to get rewarded for carrying a team.
-
Yea it can be kinda irritating when you go 44 -10 and win but receive ZERO rewards. Like why even try? It seems i have a better chance of getting gear if i get carried.
-
If you're top 3 on the winning team, I think your chance at getting better loot should increase like 50%. I've never played a game where it wasn't top 3, and the best thing I've gotten in PVP is a rare coin. But then I saw some guy who went 1-16 get 2 legendary engrams. Rediculous.
-
Completely agree
-
You just answered your whole post. If you rather not get any loot, then your stats would be your own reward. So what does it matter then if random loot drops? Your stats are still yours.
-
Not sure if someone's pointed it out yet, but... Their* :P
-
How can i forgive your ranting if you rant anyway? Yea sure it should be earned but some of us enjoy the raw luck and random earnings we need. I'm sure you get the random rewards too.
-
This has to be one of the most frustrating things i have dealt with for a while, had a day off and have mostly pvp'd all day and seeing ppl get high rewards for being carried or even the losing team getting the legendary equipment, is annoying as hell. I did see 1 game where the player who came 2nd on my team got a legendary with a positve K/D and i found my self cheering that finally there seemed to be a bit of justice. After getting 4-5 green and 1 blue low lvl item i decided to run the daily hard mission, i got more from doing that 1 mission in equipment than i did all day doing the crucible.
-
Don't forget crucible armor and weapons! Also there's vanguard and faction gear, so your gear building won't be heavily depended on chance engrams.
-
You get random loot for proving the crucible, your stats are your reward. There are also going to be events as well. The crucible gets you marks and points, so it is for everyone, which is why the chance for random gear for everyone is fine.
-
I said basically the same thing the other day. Pissed I've been grinding non-stop for 2-3 days with nothing to show for it. Another thing I find interesting is that somehow the major twitch streamers all magically have very high level armor and somehow were all ready for the raid when it dropped. Conspiracy? You be the judge :)
-
its random get over it
-
Good job bungie don't listen to people like you as that is a stupid idea. What about people who don't like PvE?
-
I personally think if your third second or first you should be guaranteed something.
-
The losing team got a ledgendary engram and another got an exotic weapon. Our winning team only one pair of uncommin gauntlets fell.
