how to get your legendary set

I've had a few people message me over the past few days and have grown a teeny but tired having to explain over and over so figured I would make a forum post with my general thoughts for people to view. This post is intended to help players that are not sure what they should be doing to get gear, not to gloat or for people to complain as they normally do on these forums. So please just take it as it is. My non blue gear consisted of a legendary hand canon, legendary rocket launcher , exotic helm, legendary gloves and legendary boots, and in a few moments another exotic chest piece (can only equip one at a time). So far my plan every week is just to do all my dailies and weeklies, and try to get my 100 crucible and vanguard marks. So far the gear you buy from the factions have the following price tags. Boots, gloves, chest = 65 Helm = 120 Guns = 150. The goal is to maximise your items across both PvP and PvE, for example, by earning 100 points for both in this first week I have bought my PvP boots from Future War Cult and my PvE gloves from the hunter quartermaster. These to me are more important than weapons as all weapons can be used by all classes, but a Titan chest piece is useless for my Hunter. As a result the cheaper more risky wins are the best to buy first. By using 65 on each item that leaves me with 35, saving this for Monday when the values reset I am then able to gain another 100 leaving me at 135, allowing me to purchase a chest and head piece and thus allowing me to finish an entire epic armor set in just 8 days without any reliance on lucky drops. During this process you will win other legendary and coins to buy exotics. On week three if you still don't have weapons you should have only spent 65 on the second week chest, leaving you with a 70 start. By earning another 100 you have your weapon at legendary also. Another tip: don't be tempted to buy emblems as many others have done. It seems people get excited and buy one the moment they reach rank 1, though this may be tempting. It is entirely possible to reach rank 3 on a faction within 7 days, so buying the rank 1 will make you feel that you need to upgrade it and waste the points spent anyway. Save it until rank 3. UPDATE: Have posted a video to help explain things http://youtu.be/JWg1bsmWKto Please like and subscribe to help bring my channel off the ground. Thanks
