My Review of Destiny (idc about review scores)

Having bought Destiny at its midnight release and constantly played it, I love the game. However, it falls short of being a masterpiece. - The things I enjoy: 1) The scenery is beautiful. I LOVED going to Venus, the Moon, and Mars. 2) The combat is fun and shooting is consistent and responsive. I found a distinct shotgun over-use in the multiplayer, but other than that I had no complaints. 3) Character Customization was wonderful to experiment with. I loved being able to choose between Human, Awoken, and Exos. There was plenty of options to further personalize my Guardian and make them unique to me. 4) Enemies are challenging and greatly varied. The Cabal, Vex, and Fallen have distinct differences that set them apart from each other, visually. (I did have trouble understanding who the Hive were at first, and didn't very much care for them too much however.) 5) Equipping better gear as my rank progressed was enjoyable in of itself. Watching my Titan's armor build and become more impressive was just as interesting. - The things I find disappointing: 1) The lack of true social interaction. Nobody talking in Crucible pre-game lobbies, on Patrols, or in the Tower made my experience slightly more exhausting and I couldn't find a lot of enjoyment in the profound feeling of isolation when not in a fireteam with friends. 2) Lack of dynamic environments. The scenery, as before mentioned, was breathtaking but felt rather indifferent to the player. 3) No player-controlled free roam space flight or space battles. I share this disappointment with my friends. Each of us expected to be able to launch into a dynamic space battle or soar along the breadth of a planet in low orbit with the ships we purchased or received, but to our dismay... 4) No guns on our Sparrows? or other, aesthetically different variations of the Sparrow akin to different ship models? (Enemy exclusive Pike doesn't count in my book.) Destiny is a great game with a LOT of great features and the series has a LOT of potential, but its limitations and deficiencies are easily identifiable. Should a sequel ever come out for this game, I would purchase it as I know Bungie will only expand and improve this universe that has now been created. Feel free to comment :)
