Hey there,
Just wanted to let you know that i think a match making system would be great for the game.
Not everybody has tons of friends at lvl24+ online at the same time you are online.
Many people say you dont need a mm and that wow for example didnt have it for years. Thats right but wow had a free chat where you could just lost the dungeon you need to go. Destiny does nit have this communication.
And yes of course you could just ask serveral ppl at the tower., but it takes time to write all the messages . Not everyones first language is english and even less can communicate fluid in a voice cchat. So.its even harder to give commands in a strike when everything needs to be asap. So i think somehow you need to get players from the same country into a strike if its possible.
I got.many points i am not happy about. But i bought the vanguard edition for 99euro which is -blam!-ing expensive so i let bungie bring out thise 2 dlc before i decide to quit this game because right now i think you just need to play the beta twice and thats its you played the game.
I really hope.you guys pull it out of the mud.
P.s. dont blame me for my english -.-

Agreed we need to at least have the option for both for any strike/raid. Besides how is it not random, when I go to an lfg site get invited to raid and don't know the peeps?
-
Totally agree with you , matchmaking is much needed for those of us wanting to jump in without fighting to get a team for 25 min.
-
I think optional matchmaking for everything is also a good idea. Sometimes you might want to go into a strike alone or with just one friend and not want any other people.
-
heroic strikes yes raids no.
-
Adding a matchmaking wouldn't hurt anyone... Players who want to play with clan/friends would play with clan/friends. Players who don't have any clan/friends online would play with the matchmaking. If players wants to take the risk to use matchmaking and fail in raids, it's their problem, no ours. Period.

From what I've seen and heard on Raids, it's ridiculously difficult. It looks like a bullet sponge fest honestly and I get irritated at the Nightfall Strike difficulty. I still don't agree with their decision to exclude matchmaking and I honestly think Raids aren't the right content for this game, it's only going to divide the community further. I think think they should allow a casual MM version of the Raid but take away the actual Raid gear rewards. Most people just want to play the content they payed for.
-
Until yesterday I agreed to you. Today, three hours into the raid, I don't anymore. It's just not possible with randoms. Someone always screws it up and my experience with randoms is: they get pissed, start flaming, leave and ruin the experience of everyone. I know it's bad from Bungie not implementing an ingame chat at the tower where you can just ask for groups, but the raid is like nothing I have ever seen. Everything shoots at you. I mean like even the walls are -blam!-ing death traps if you don't pay attention. The mechanics are so crazy and hard, no one with a random team can ever pull off. I am not the kind of type that favors keeping people without a group out of content. But I understand why they made it that way. I think they should just lower the people limit to 4-6, scaling the mechanics to the number of players...

I will agree with needing it for the heroic strikes, but not for raids. The raid was specifically designed to force teamwork on a level that simple matchmaking can't provide.
-
No it does NOT need matchmaking, it's fine. What we do need is a proper communication system that makes it easier to get to know people. If you want to raid, you have to find people to do so, that's how it works. And if you don't want to do that, you just accept that you're not gonna be able to raid, simple eh? If you want matchmaking go play World of Warcraft, that game is ruined already by it (dungeon finder, raid finder, etc). I will copy and paste this comment in every single match-making thread, don't blame me for it.
-
I agree, it's annoying that ALL endgame content is affected by this issue. They will lose players fast if this remains. An "option" for matchmaking should be there

Edited by Godchild: 9/17/2014 9:45:57 AMI agree on the heroic strike, also it needs voice already. I haven't touched raids yet so I dont know about that one. I am sick of doing randoms strikes with people and never being able to talk with them or tell them dont run over and punch that captain.
-
I agree :)

Edited by Mikezila: 9/17/2014 8:01:26 AMI agree. It's a real shame that this is going to turn into another MMO where the chosen six of each guild are going to be the haves and everyone else is going to be the have nots. If you have less than six people, you have to struggle to find someone, and if you have more then you have leftovers that can't come. "But you can find people on Bungie.net or reddit!" How about the game just finds them for me? How is me having to go look for a random person, that I don't know, and probably won't be able to voice chat with, any better than just having matchmaking? "But the raid is too hard and complicated to do in matchmaking!" So make it easier? I'm not here to bang my head against a wall for 12 hours with random people, and I'm also not here to be forced into making five friends that must all have free time when I do so that we can raid. Scraping together a random team of six people is not going to work, since you need to follow the same leader to use your lockout. Am I supposed to pester that same random person to be able to finish it? Stupid.

Yes the daily and especially the weekly really need matchmaking.
-
Edited by ElektroDragon: 9/17/2014 5:34:55 AMAgreed! A rep system would help for the raid matchmaking .
-
Agree 100%. It is ridiculous that this game doesn't have match making or LFG / strike team finder for story, patrols and heroic strikes... or any sensible way to find players and form groups inside of the game.
-
I also completely agree! I dont want to invite some strangers into my frindlist to play destiny with them. There must be a better way to find some people to play with! A match making searchengine like the 3-man strikes are a great deal. But they are easy to solve with some player you "dont know" and without voicechat. The heroic strikes and raids are much harder to play and you need a good coordinated fireteam – thats ok. But a good match making engine for those raids and heroic strikes must have some solved points as a "to do list" or "a must have list": + voic chat on and pluged in (maybe the program/game/search engine can check this) + a warning, that the game could get for 1-2 hours + if you left the game - you have to get a penalty ( maybe as a ban for that kind of gameplay (and mayby a sign) for 10 hrs) + players at the same level and country for better understanding

Edited by Hooshrdady : 9/16/2014 12:54:18 PMI don't get how you could leave a match making system out. I, for one, don't have massive amounts of time to play this game. A few hours here, a few hours there, on any random day/night depending on my schedule. With no in game communication system, no way to organize other than get my phone/ipad and waste 30 mins assembling a fireteam anytime I want to raid, here's the easier solution Bungie, I'll go play a different game. It's painfully obvious that Destiny is not meant to support your casual gamer. The alpha was fun, the beta was ok, the launch was meh...underwhelming. just saying there are games out there that support casual gaming via a match making system. We know the risks of people joining and leaving, or getting stuck with a terrible player, but so goes life for the casual player. The fact there's no option for that in Destiny means that your playerbase will shrink once more casual friendly games come out.
-
I agree 100% On xbox one its hard to find 5 other friends Match making would take away the long and arduous process Please add match making to raids
-
I agree with u. Matchmaking FTW
-
Atleast the heroic strike needs matchmaking! I mean come on, the casual players who don't have Tons of high lvl friends or is in a superClan has to be able to do some nice PvE play Right?!??!!!
-
Instead of writing all that you cod have wrote "level 24 x platform looking for friends for strikes and raids add me in fame". Took 20 seconds i added 8 to 9 people from my post a few days ago. You whine about no chat to find groups for and yet you have one right here. Theres a reason weekly strikes and raids don't have matchmaking. As mad as you are now because you cant be lazy finding a team, i promise you would be more angry when randoms left the game an hour in because they're hard and you die a lot and you would have to restart from the beginning with a new team.
-
I agree with you guys. They really need it.
-
Yes 100% I really hope Bungie add this option to Raids.
-
Totally agreed. It looks like level 25 is max for me, since I cant find a group of dedicated players to really take on the endgame. It's sad really, I played the game for 25 hours and went as far as I can. Already frustrated to the point of putting it down and getting back to Battlefield.
