So... I got kind of bored over the weekend being home alone... So I did what a lot of teenagers would do.
Sit still in Destiny for 115 minutes, recording 23 individual 5-minute long segments using my Xbox One's DVR, render and upload each one to my OneDrive, import them to Windows Movie Maker, speed them up by 16x, add in a little in-character text in the beginning, put in some cross-fade transitions, and save it for High-Definition usage. That's what teenagers do... right?
Anyways, this was EXTREMELY tedious work. Recording was stressful. I can't tell you how much I wished no one would come up and stand in front of me or something (someone DID actually come up behind me and slam into me... Thankfully it wasn't on screen...) I was kicked out of the tower twice for being inactive while recording, so that was stressful as well because if I missed more than a minute of movement the entire thing would have been off. The second time I got back from orbit I went to jump onto the balcony again to quickly start recording from where I left off but I jumped too far and fell off... honestly it sounds funny now but 3 days ago I was face palming so hard XD
Let me tell you though, I am in awe at the end product. The environment was incredibly done, and its detail is astounding. I hope you see that in the video!
So if you decide to watch it, thank you very much and I hope you enjoy it! You can read more about it in the description of the video itself.
ALSO: If anyone has some suggestions for a free, good video-editing software, hit me up :D
NOTE: Yes, I know the ending says you can pre-order or download the digital version(obviously, the game is out :p)... I just thought ending the video with a little destiny clip like that would be cool.
