Destiny - Actual Feedback

Alright; I have alot of time played already and have read alot of negativity. But here are a few things that I feel need changed or added. [b]Shaders[/b] - Add the ability to preview the shader on your character before you buy, so I know if I want to buy it. [b]Emblems[/b] - See the full emblem the way it would look on your Card before you buy. [b]Progress[/b] - Add progress bars for factions (FWC, NM, DO, Vanguard) in the character screens instead of having to run around the tower. [b]LFG[/b] - I've seen this on the forum already; some people don't have friends to play with so they're stuck with randoms in Strikes & future Raids, something simple? Like a bulletin board in the tower. (ie: Group of 5 Looking for 1 for Vault of Glass [Pref: Titan]) [b]Clans[/b] - More ingame clan support. Possible clan levels/ranks, based on Strikes completed as a clan or total XP gained through strikes/raids/crucible. Along with that clan based emblems (and/or) shaders based on your clan hitting a certain level through XP gained.(?) - Clan Vault, I understand the direction that was went with about engrams (getting a Legendary drop that turns into a Legendary Titan head when you're a Hunter etc.) But maybe putting in a clan vault so my clanmates can have the drops that I don't need that they do, furthering clan support so that Raids etc are playable. [b]EDIT: Idea from - BearCat[/b] Clan Toolbar on main page that lets you interact with the members, see the list and see clam updates. [b]Ammo[/b] - When changing special weapons, you should only lose ammo thats in your current magazine, any excess ammo could be shared between the special weapons. [b]Inventory[/b] - A way to expand your character inventory or vaults through in-game currency (Strange Coins/Motes of Light) [b]Ingame Settings[/b] [Audio] - Adding a volume adjustment settings [Button Layout] - Free-mapping ability [b]Etc[/b] - Alot of other things have already been addressed, such as people placing in the bottom of crucible with a 0.26 KDR and no captures on Control and getting Legendary drops. - Theatre mode - Custom games (non-ranked: Level Restriction off/on) for CvC [EDIT] [b]Armor Upgrade[/b] - Show the stat increase before upgrading armor, so we know if it's actually worth the parts for the upgrade, also the max upgrade like on weapons. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Theres alot that "could" be addressed but thats all in the air, we're gamers not developers. But all and all I'm enjoying the game and ready for Raids, excited to see what else is to come. :) #Intimidation

  • I'd love to see far more variation in the character classes. I play primarily as a hunter but have spent a decent amount of time with the titan and warlock classes as well and I can honestly say that outside of run speed and specials the classes just don't feel different enough or powerful in their own right and given that you're playing someone who is supposed to be powerful enough to help push back the nemesis of the traveler your character should definitely feel like they command a decent amount of power. I was running around the moon with my hunter on patrol missions and I got into the typical fire fight against some fallen. While working my way through a group I took notice of the Fallen Vandal's movements, not that I hadn't seen them all before but it just happen to catch my attention a little more this time. I took aim at it and the Vandal rolled to the side. That's when I thought, "Where the hell is my roll?" Hunters are supposed to be quick and agile but at best we're relatively fast runners. For that matter, where is anyone's evasive moves? We can sprint, use a small variety of weapons along with the occasional super, and jump - that's it. While those mechanics are rock solid they're also lacking in variety and don't really open up very many options. My thoughts - instead of tapping the circle button to crouch and slide(dualshock controller) for hunters why not give them a quick, evasive roll, for titans gives them a sort of energy shield bash that doesn't deal damage but knocks weaker foes down or back and stuns tougher enemies for about a second, and for warlocks gives them a very small AOE flashbang like ability that momentarily disorients enemies that are very close. Crouch and slide can then be mapped to the circle button but need to be pressed longer instead of tapping to trigger them. Again speaking for hunters, being the supposed ranged class they should get a bonus to critical hits when aiming down the sights. Also, to help with their extreme lack of crowd control abilities hunters should have passthrough on weapons fire for all semi-automatic weapons ( hand cannon and scout and sniper rifles). I feel like titans melee attacks should due bonus damage to enemy shields and warlocks should be able to augment the damage done by any elemental weapon. Just some small changes that add up to significant ways that the classes are played and offer more diversity in gameplay options.

    • And please bungie, add matchmaking for weekly/dayly and raids, i dont have 5 more friends that has destiny. Should i not be able to play raids just becuse of that, and also do you want us to spend time in the forums, finding a hole group instead of spending that time in the game? I begin working early and comes home late. I dont want to spend time in the forum to find a group IF im lucky. I want to be able finding a group IN the game and be able to raid as soon as possible. And plus, you say that this is only the begining... Well i hope so for i want more placeses to be able to visit, more raids and so on but i hope alot of extra content will be added before and inbetween the expansions and not just a couple of new missions on the same planets. More planets... More levels and more raids and things to do when you reach Max level and i mean lvl 30 and not 20... I do hope for Alot more lvls to come. Please bungie, i know its a fps and i love the game but i was expecting a world as big as maybe world of Warcraft or atleast to come.. And weather, add rains and thunderstorms that will randomly appear on diffrent planets and for more then just 5 min and on a large scale. Thx

    • For the most part good suggestions, I can't get behind the clan vault though. I actually like that bungie does not allow trading. Each player must earn their own way through blood, sweat and tears. Implementing a clan vault to give gear to friends would lead to abuse by people inviting others into the clan simply to use it as a way to trade.

      • Thank you for not complaining and actually coming up with good ideas. I agree with all of these. It would be cool if they added styles too. Such as collecting your armor pieces style and adding it over the look of the armor you are actually wearing. That way your character could be fully customizable and we'd have another reason to search for armors.

      • Good job, mate. I think this should remain on the first-out topic. Love the volume one. My advice to Bungie? A more in-depth, post carnage report after a crucible match. Top medals, medals earned, killed most, killed most by, tool of destruction. Aka Halo 3...

Right now its underpowered compared to every other Super. Radiance •Grenade and melee count toward Super kills. •Slightly nerf Flame Shield. Makes the Warlock extremely tanky right now. Pulse Rifles •Slightly increase damage per bullet by 15-20%. •Slightly increase stability by 10-20% •Full Auto so when a person presses the trigger it keeps firing. Scout Rifles •Slightly increase damage per bullet by 10-15%. •Slightly increase effective range by 5-10% •Full Auto so when a person presses the trigger it keeps firing. Special Ammo •Increase respawn timer by 100%. •Decrease spawn points by 50%. •Ammo drops fully upon killed.

        • Agree with most except in regards to clan improvement. Clans don't = guilds. No trade or shared vault. Use your marks, use your rep. Earn your way. I think that kind of clan support undermines marks and rep. Good list.

          • Agree with most of this. Mostly the first half. I'm anti trading/shared vault. I like the "your earn what you got". I don't mind random rewards for pvp either. My k/d is decent because there's people with .26 k/d's playing crucible because the random rewards are worth it. It mixes up the skill level of players.

          • Unique enemies in boss fights, phogoth would be so much more fun if an ogre and three unique healers spawned every 3-5 minutes with an additional ogre each time instead of the horde of enemies. Boss variation is needed.

          • I'll be honest. If this game is going to survive it will be absolutely mandatory for it to: 1-Massively increase the size of the existing maps and add additional locations. 2-Give players the ability to trade with one another. I mean, come on Bungie, surely to goodness you realize that every other RPG on Earth has that option. 3-Give us the option to name our Guardians and customize their height and body build. This is basic stuff here, get with the program. 4-Ability to customize firearms, such as barrel length, color, magazine size, fire rate, etc. This is a major disappointment for such a well polished game not to have such a basic feature. 5-Make side missions actually worth while by giving each one a story of it's own. I'll be honest here, the side missions of Destiny are the lamest of almost any RPG I've ever played and I've been playing them since Wasteland and the original Final Fantasy on up to Diablo 3. 6-Offer reward options at the end of each quest. For instance, give the player the option of choosing between a rare Encrypted Engram or Strange Coins for completing a mission. 7-Make every planet the freaking solar system available for play. It absolutely sucks that I'm stuck visiting the same locals over and over again. It's boring and greatly detracts from the fun of the game. 8-Give us Class Specific Weapons. For instance, the Titan could carry spiked gauntlets, the Hunter could obtain a short sword, and the Warlock could get Energy Gauntlets. 9-Vehicular weapons and combat on Sparrow and our Ships. 10-Raise level Cap to at least 50. No one likes to see there character level maxed after only 3 days of playing a game. It's boring, and makes the game seem generic. If Bungie were to do all of these things the game would thrive and stomp it's competition, but as it currently stands, it's just too dang short and repetitive in comparison every other RPG on the market. Honestly I feel like Bungie didn't really research the Genre enough while developing the game. Either that or they were just lazy, and I would hope that laziness is not the case.
