Why is it so rare to have even one person in a public event? Out of the many i participated in only two were actually public. It sucks to have these cool events be ruined by having to solo what's meant for multiple
fix or i cancel preorder...... oh wait a minute cx
I have the same issue. I'd be doing public events all night and a majority of them I solo. It's becoming more irritating than fun now
-
At least you've seen one. I'm level 22 and have yet to see any.
-
I'm level 8 and have done 4 of them. The last 2 there were 4-5 of us. only one I was by myself...that didn't go so well...
-
I'm level 24, I've seen 3, and gotten gold on 2. As it currently stands, they spawn way too infrequently.
-
Im lvl 21 now and I've never even seen a public event -_-
-
On the moon it's usually me soloing the public events. Anywhere else people come flocking in to help me out.

Edited by TragicSerenade: 9/12/2014 1:48:14 PMI've encountered 3 and I'm only level 5. There's always been a pretty decent amount of people in each instance. To all the people that are missing them: my guess as to why you are missing them would be due to not staying in an area long enough. When I do my patrols or missions I remain on foot for a great majority of the time exploring everything in the area. I'm not racing to my objectives all the time and I usually happen to wander into a public event.

Just your luck I suppose, just got my first public event yesterday on the moon and had a squad if 3 and had 2 ransoms show up half way through. Thanks god they did too

I encountered my first Public Event yesterday while I was doing a Strike on Mars with my friend and a random player. It was extremely fun, especially the fact that there were at least 4 other guardians that showed up and helped out. I just wish that Public Events would happen more often.

I was in a public event last night. It started off with me and some other guy and ended up being 4-6 people doing it. I was on the moon

Yeah this game is basically a single player game where you might see one or two people in the world but you can't talk to or interact with them at all.... It seems that no one is playing this game as a social game and the community sucks because of it. It's only going to get worse as the people who are playing get bored and leave. Destiny is a disaster.
-
It should send out a quick message to everyone on the planet about the event......for example like if it is on forgotten shore it should pop up and say "*Event name* on forgotten shore
-
I've been in 4 events. Only one had another person. Two level 5's taking out a Devil Walker was cool But I hope to see a set piece 10v boss event eventually.
-
I've only run into them maybe once a day. Even then, I'm usually the only one in the game.
-
Been playing for almost 20 hours. 2 public events. One had a few people the other didn't
-
Public events are a myth.

Have you spent much time on venus? Last event I went to, it was an infinite loop of people spamming specials because there were so many orbs of light lying around from everybody and their dog doing specials. It was ridiculous. Sooo many people and sooo much loot.
-
I've probably ran into about 5 or 6 throughout my entire time playing Destiny. One of which I actually completed because it was rather easy strangely enough considering it was to destroy a Devil Walker. I had one other player with me but I dealt the most damage to it regardless. The other ones I came across involved stopping a target before it reached its destination. Those ones are nearly impossible, even with numerous players. The targets barely lose any health. Besides that, I rarely see them.

So far I've seen 5 public events in about 8 hours of playing PvE. 1 was easy and I beat it by myself. 3 were to hard and I was alone so I ran away. Only once did I have other players to help (4) and we got our asses kicked. Dafuq is this shit.

The ones I attend consist of usually 7-12 people
