Whenever you salvage anything above normal gear (white colored) make sure said gear(s) are atleast leveled up and have all the options to apply upgrades to it open then dismantle them you'll receive more parts back then getting rid of them as soon as you get them it might take abit more time but they are worth it in the end since upgrade themselfs after uncommon (green) also start to ask for additional items with increase glimmer costs as well!
