Error Code: Boar
Hi, I just got Destiny and I keep getting Error Code: Boar. It doesn't even install the game. I have done what Bungie said will help, but it has not worked. If it is my internet, this is what I have: Softbank 007Z. (It is Japanese internet.)

I deleted all my other data because when I checked my downloads it said that storage was full. It's installing right now, wish me luck!

Please see the steps below for more information. 1. Install Destiny. 2. Before launching the game, create a new PSN account. Ensure that the region of your new PSN account matches the game’s region. 3. Launch Destiny to download the update. 4. Create another user on your ps3 3. Create a new PSN account that matches the game's region ( like Bungie said ) 4. Launch destiny with new account that you just made 5. Download the required update 6. After download finished, login back to your original psn account 7. Launch and play Destiny Feel free to reply me if you have problems ( that I can help )

3 RepliesTry hitting the PS button on the screen when its trying to install the update, it should pull up the psn store and allow you to download the Compatibility pack. After that it should finish the install and be good to go.

Dear Bungie if u make a game as good and and popular as destiny make sure your dam netcode and servers are ready to maintain the amount of people playing ut at a time because we are all getting annoyed with this dam error cides that u give us and i dont want to get the dam noahs ark every time i play so fix it please cause u really suck right now

I have only downloaded a patch which I was prompted to do so before the game started up. Plus that patch was compulsory to download before anything else could be done.

6 RepliesI am from Singapore. Was having the same issue. But if you login using a US PSN account, the error goes away as there is an additional download which does not come up for HK/SG psn account - hence the error. Successfully installed the game.

1 ReplyThe above stuff did not work for me on PS3, but here's what did: when it says it's downloading content, before it errors out, press the PS button in the middle of your controller. It brought up the Compatibility Pack screen for me, from where I was able to install the game. Hope this helps.

1 ReplyLive in USA, Have USA copy of game, and a USA PSN account. Still getting error after remaking another USA PSN account. Tried making a UK PSN account, but tells me server connection timed out whenever I put in first and last name on account creation screen. Any help would be great.

I don't have the link to the original Bungie post anymore; but the advice they gave was to set up a fake US account and then run Destiny. Then the 170mb Destiny Compatibility Pack 1 will download on your PS3. We are talking about PS3, right?. After the file downloads, you can log back into your usual Japan account and start the game up normally.

Guys I know what's happening but I don't know how to fix it. Basically our PS3s think that we preordered the digital copy and that comes with an expansion pack because it says "expansion pack damaged or missing" and "please download the game again. I think that the only way to fix it is to buy the expansion pack or wait for bungie to fix it.

I think that must be Asia PSN missing expansion pack for Destiny (170MB). I tried using R1 account to install and it did brought up the expansion pack download page and start downloading without BOAR error. However, not sure about comparability issue of R1 pack with R3 disc game, finger crosse!

I am also having trouble with the boar error code. I have deleted game, shut of ps3 and internet and started the whole process over again. I setup another psn acct but i cannot login because i keep getting an seesion timed out screen when i try logining in with the alternate account. any suggestions or fixes would be more than awesome.

2 RepliesGuys I just tried creating another PSN account under United Kingdom region. Im from Singapore though. Follow the youtube video to create a new account and through this account, you will be able to download initially. This apply to the error code : Boar. Hope it helps.

1 Replythis -blam!-ing sucks. i live in singapore, tomorrow i go into the army. It looks like i won't even have a chance to play destiny before i go. tried deleting then reinstalling the patch, doesn't work. tried different region account, doesn't work. i'm pissed off.
