Considering you taxed every single person in the country to afford this, you've spent less than one cent per person on this study. Oh how horrible. It's amazing how quick people are to use the phrase "tax dollars at work" when those tax dollars are spent on something you don't personally approve of.

6 RepliesI like how the majority of the people are really trying to form opinions with having almost no insight on the topic. And three million dollars really isn't anything extraordinary when it comes to the amount of funding the federal government supplies to scientific studies, but the news source here decided to word the story in such a way so people would find the story interesting enough to click on the webpage so that the website's ads could load and it could make money. It's called sensationalization. Further, studies on obesity can help efforts to get people to have healthier lifestyles which means less money at the hospitals.
