I made a thread about this 3 weeks ago in a different sub-forum on here, but I figure that posting directly in Help with a more concise OP might help. I hope that this gets answered directly by Bungie, as they're probably the only people who actually know.
In this link :
http://www.amazon.co.uk/ACTIVISION-Destiny-Xbox-360/dp/B00BF95Q90/ref=pd_rhf_gw_p_img_1
You can see in the product description that Destiny requires a 20GB installation on the 360.
What I want to know is A : if the game is Fully Installable and B : if when I "install" the game, it'll be like Titanfall and Wolfenstein : The New Order and forced to play constantly from the disc drive, as opposed to, having a fully installed game where it'll spin for a couple of minutes and then stop (a feature introduced in the NXE update in '08 I think).
As Bungie probably know, full installations are an important thing to lots of 360 gamers, and given the choice, a lot of them would rather clear the extra HDD space to fully install it rather than risk damaging the optical drive or residual overheating problems.
Personally, I can't feel comfortable preordering this game until I know for sure.

Edited by Ephidel: 8/30/2014 10:15:08 PMNew(ish) information : https://twitter.com/majornelson/status/505090783112732672 I heard about this in a thread on GameFAQs, so I checked it out. Neither Titanfall nor Wolfenstein : The New Order had digital versions available on the Xbox 360 because they HAD to be partially installed and played from the disc simultaneously. This is quite interesting news, assuming Larry hasn't made a mistake, because it would strongly suggest that Destiny is fully installable. Perhaps this information will help someone get a concrete answer.
