Whats a good ps4 compatible headset that wont set me back 100$+?

I got a Steel Series Siberia V2 in red. Add a $5-10 two 3.5mm female to one 3.5mm male cell phone adapter to hook it up to your controller. Really any headset works if it has 3.5mm jacks. Depending on what you feel you need. Works great when the GF is sleeping and I want to game for a bit.

To be truthful, you're not gonna find an outstanding headset if you don't wanna dish out a little bit extra. I would say the tritton kamurai (or something like that) it should just hook up to the controller and it's universal. It's about 50$, or I'd say check out the sony gold(90$ i think), or if you have an extra 25$, get astro a40's without the mix amp. I think it can just plug into the controller after that, don't take me word for it though. It's 125$ just for the headset.

Turtle Beaches PX22s. They go for around $70-$80. I've had mine almost a year now. No complaints.

3 RepliesThe stereo headset that came with my android phone worked perfectly plugged into the controller, including the mic (iphone plugs are wired differently). I also have an old USB stereo headset that works plugged into the console (mute button has to be cycled when waking the PS4 for mute to work).

I just got the gold headset and recommend it. Its pretty good sound quality and i like the virtual surround. Havn't used it too mich as a microphone but I hope to soon.

The one you get with your playstation. Its 100 dollars cheaper than any really good ones.

TB are overrated. Get the sony gold. If that's to much. Look at the skullcandy slyr. It's about 70 bucks and works like a champ. If you wanna go cheaper. Iphone earbuds (or any good earbud with a mic)

I own Sony Gold and Turtle Beach PX22. My friend can't hear me very well on the Gold headset and complain. I can see what they mean since the Mic is hidden behind the headband. PX22s pick up my voice better, have bigger speakers, and I can even hook my phone up to them to listen to music or take calls. Not to mention they cost less. Hope this helps!

Otherwise we use system party chat when the in-game chat happens to be cheaper quality. The virtual surround-sound is great. You do need to have a USB dongle (included) plugged into your system at all times because the headset does not have bluetooth. My friend with a pair of Elites complains that my headset's base boost is not enough and I don't have a rumble feature. However, I prefer that my wireless headset last 8 hours between charges instead of 3. You can usually find a pair of Sony Golds on Amazon for $70-80. I happened to get mine for 70. They can also charge using the PS4 controller cable and can be used while charging. They feature a mode with a small bass boost which can be traded out for a game-specific mode using the Elite App if the game supports it. A 3.5mm cable is included with the headset (unless used and states otherwise) so you can plug a cable into a phone/mp3 player/handheld to use as regular, noise-cancelling headphones. As you may have noticed; I'm a big fan of this headset. I've never purchased one before this and had no idea what a good headset would be considered. My first thing was to look at battery life and if I could use them with my iPad. After that I just read some buyer reviews to get a better idea and then went for it. I've yet to be disappointed after two months of daily use. Hope this suggestion helped. (:

Before I updated to the a40 for destiny, I have been rocking the ps pulse. I want able to use them when the ps4 launched but soon after their second big patch. I like them, sounds good and nice mic. So I have been told. Not a fan of the switches and stuff around the ear muffs. Kinda hard to use during gaming. They should be below 100.
