Server Launch Times?
Hey,
I've been trying to get an answer about when servers will go online to allow us to play Destiny
Will it be at 0:00 9/9 in each region (specifically regions that are 'ahead' of the US like Japan, New Zealand and Australia) or do we have to wait for a Pacific Daylight Savings time like during the Alpha and Beta?

1 ReplyIt would be silly to not have the servers up before launch. With past games, the media has been granted early access so they can get reviews out as close to the release date as possible, so I imagine bungie would have the servers up days, if not weeks in advance. After all, the bungie employees want to play the game too, and I don't think they'd be forced to wait until launch.

I would really appreciate clarification on this as well. My concern, being that I bought digital on PS4, is that the game won't open until 12 AM PST while disc purchases can play 12 AM local. If that's the case, I'll cancel my digital preorder and go disc.

Note I don't have a source so I may be wrong as I heard another member mention that bungie is going to put up the servers at 12 PM PDT.

I've seen people in the US sometimes get a game a day early and they'll being playing online before launch. [spoiler]I apologize, this isn't very helpful. I'm waiting to get an answer on the servers also. I'm not going to a midnight launch if I can't play the game.

No one knows yet. All we know is the NA PSN says 12pm PDT and PAL region PSN says local time. The stores are having mindnight launches and that to me would be weird to get a game but not be able to play for 17hrs, why would anyone bother to go. Maybe there will be confirmation in the weekly update, until then the answers you get will be hearsay.

8 RepliesLet's say you live on the east coast. You'll have to wait until 3am to play, but in PST (west coast) it will be midnight. Servers launch everywhere starting at midnight PST
