out of curiosity
I know that beta characters won't carry over and I completely agree with this decision, but out of curiosity, when will I stop being able to see my beta characters in the companion app?

I would assume so. After all, the beta characters are there for you to see until that point since everything there is going to be erased over by your actual full-launched characters.
