I know the release is on the Horizon and I loved the Beta just as much as everyone else, but there were a few things I think you guys could've done more with. You gave all of us Sparrows, But no place race em and a sick tower with no lounge. Give us a lounge where we can play a mini game to earn glimmer (like Pazaak in KOTOR 2), while meeting new players. These are little things but they'd do so much for the MMO aspect of the game. Adding Sparrow Racing to the Crucible would be awesome. And a lounge area in the Tower where we can do Different Activities and meet Players would be awesome. Last thing, I cant believe you guys gave us these awesome Pistols... but we can't shoot them while riding the Sparrow. I mean it doesn't take two hands to fire a pistol. That should be a Handgun Only perk. Cuz let's be real, most people will likely choose shotguns or assault rifles over a handgun for their primary. It gives us more incentive to upgrade our Sparrows and ACTUALLY use Handguns. You know what? F*** it, add handgun Sparrow Racing to the Crucible... There yeah go, Video Game Gold

Pstols are great my main will bes pistol/fusion rifle, also give bungie some credit, lots of stuff was left out/blocked off in beta im sure other planets will have bigger areas to ride sparrows in Just exploreing earth i found a nice trail 2 players could easily race each other on, ofcourse theyd have to do it on their own for no other reason than fun, so dont know if that will work now days lol Sarcasim aside i wouldnt mind sparrow racing And have you found a pike yet? Its basicly an upgraded sparrow with laser cannons. Who needs pistols when we have laser cannons? Lol

There will be way more areas to explore in September. As far as handguns and sparrow riding? I'm not really on board with that idea. The sparrow is meant to get you to a place and little more than that. The thing barely works as a battering ram if you run over an enemy with it. It's only meant to allow you to travel quickly. Want to shoot your guns, get off the sparrow. Besides, the thing turns when you move the camera. Wouldn't be much use to shoot directly ahead of you only. Would be pointless. Plus, the triggers are already programmed to do other things when used. Would ruin those controls. Better sparrows will have extra abilities such as sharper turning and quick side bursts and possibly others. You could even get a slightly better sparrow in the beta that had sharp turning on one of the triggers. The other was boost.

Ok first of if you want to shoot and drive get on an interceptor or a pike. The sparrow is only for transportation. Second, there are plenty of ways to earn glimmer there is no need for small games and what not and also we didnt get to see the whole tower so who knows what they will have anyway. Third, im not to sure if racing sparrows will be popular if you will always have people that have faster sparrows then one another?

I figure the one in the Hangar is where you'll find the races and maybe any other "sleazy games" like Space Poker and Space Chess and Space...whatever other game of chance...shut-up. Sparrow races would be spiffy. Though there are lounges and bar looking areas in the Tower. One in the north wing and one in the south wing. Just never saw anyone in either as they are pretty far off the path.

Pazaak while getting a Oil change/haircut/BEARD TRIM from a "barber"... just before a sparrow death race. Fun and not a bad idea... I think Bungie is on top of the RPG features just as much as they are the macro FPS features.

I wouldn't mind more fun things to do though. In Monster Hunter you could sit at a table and drink. If you drank enough you'd walk all woozy and fall over after a while. Best times ever.

If you decide you don't like your appearance after going through character creation (during the Beta you couldn't rotate your character during that. I don't know if they are planning that or not, so correct me otherwise) then go to a "barber" sort of character. Facial hair really is a must (for the Humans/ Awoken. EXO's get oil changes/ custom paint?) I'm 30 and I have a beard, I don't want Babyface McTitan for a character. Badasses aren't smooth.

1 ReplyI was hoping for interactivity, I like solving stuff. The ghost do everything. Having to fix things, problem solve, some type of hacking minigame, active tracking, complex exploration. Maybe just not having everything spelled out bluntly for you, having to make a decision even if it might be wrong and having to work back. I think I remember hearing there are no waypoints in raids, it's probably just my own ideas, but there is more potential than just an emphasis on combat, which between classes, subclasses, weapon varieties, leveling weapons, and skill variations within subclasses I have no complaints there.
