I'm prepared for the hate. Its going to happen, I'm going to be called a sexist by some people. They'll be no reason to do so, but no doubt it will happen. There seem to be a rising trend amount of posts about females. About how some of them do play Destiny, or who some features of the games should be made more female like. Ghosts should have a female voice etc, etc. Why? I don't know. People say that being a Girl Gamer isn't a big deal. That we should be respectful, [i]that we should tolerate them[/i]. Someone said that to me. But, plot twist, it is a big deal. Its mainly dominated by guys, females are few and far between online. So when one of em makes a new topic saying 'Omg I lieks destY' We jump on it like dogs onto meat. So, Girl Gamers hold loads of power here. People see a girl online and they tend to become one of three things. 1) Mr Chat up Line, 2) The White Knight, 3) Sexist. Mr Chat up Line pulls out all the stops, showering her in online love. He pulls the classic "Hey baby, I hold X to pick up my weapons. Does that work on you?". Its the 2nd saddest thing alive. Whats the first? The White Knight. The one the girls cling to in the storm, or so he dreams. Basically Mr Chat up Line, but he tries to pick them up by being 'A nice guy'. He shows this by going ape s**t and ranting about sexism and true love. Sexists. Yeah. Do we really need to insult these guys? Idiots. The lot of em. "Go make a Sandwhich". Is the most used insult. He should probably ask his mum to make him one. Too bad she doesn't love him. As someone with Female friends, and two teenage sisters, Girls do not need defending for online. Holy s**t girl gamers can go bat s**t crazy. Its stupid how quick they get chuck out the insults. If anything, we need protection from them. So girls make guys go Ape S**t online. Maybe love at first lobby sight, or maybe out of pure fear. So, when one of them posts a topic about them being a female gamer, most people go into one the above forms. This leaves some of us to watch from a distance. Upset and ashamed to be part of the same gender. So why does this matter? For a start, maybe we should start not caring if someones a Girl Gamer. Yes, it makes them hot. But its ruining these forums. Okay, bit over the top but you get the point. I saw a topic about how the Ghost should have a female option. What? WHAT? So, if you're a girl, you should a female companion? Someone said it was [i]sexist that there wasn't the option for it[/i]. Bungie, of all companies, isn't sexist. Its stupid. There is no need for it. Its a male voice actor, not because Bungie hate female gamers. So, my female counterparts, can we stop? I don't care what your gender is. I don't care what your race is. I don't care [i]if you're a turtle named timmeh.[/i] Pick a class, Grab a gun, Put on that helmet, Call in your sparrow [b]And help me kick some god damn fallen ass, because they need an ass woopin.
