After playing all three classes and getting them to Level 8 I noticed a few things.
No class is more overpowered then the other. The only change I would make I were a bungie developer is to remove the time constraint on the Hunter's Super. (Only suggesting this because I like Hunter a little more than the rest... hehe) Even without that
change all the classes are pretty even.
Remember that each class has its distinct abilities and distinct play styles. If a person beats with you using class "A", that doesn't mean the class is OP. It just means that:
1.) He/She is better than you
2.) You made a poor decision
3.) Your team sucks
4.) Lag
5.) You suck***
Now let's get to each of the classes.
Titan
Your standard tank. Pretty much 80% armor and 20% health. Super is similar to Warlock's Nova Bomb, but forces your player to charge in and use it. Susceptible to return fire after using. This class itself is made to go out into the frontlines and charge into the fray. Not much else to be said about this class.
Hunter
I cringe every time is see a person try to play this class like a Titan. This class is meant to sit back on the sidelines and offer covering fire for the other classes. ITS NOT MADE TO RUSH AND TANK DAMAGE!! Everytime I see a Titan / Warlock is so OP thread I'll bet that that person rushes into combat with a Hunter. The Hunter's super is a ranged weapon that guarantees a kill with each hit, within a timeframe. This is the perfect weapon to get yourself out of a dangerous situation. The Hunter has both the strongest long and short range capabilities, but the weakest midrange. If anything, I believe that the Hunter is the most overpowered class. edited
Warlock
To me, the warlock is the most balanced class there is in terms of damage output. It's capable of doing great damage, and it has really fast regenerative healing abilities. It's pretty much perfect for players that like to play "midfielder" in games. It's Super ability, the Nova Bomb is pretty much your standard "last resort" move when you are about to die. I see no issue with this as I've seen many people misuse this ability and often miss with it. With this class, the term: "Jack of all trades, master of none" comes in mind. Meaning although this class is pretty much good at everything, it really doesn't have a distinct role. It's versatility becomes its weakness.
Conclusion
All of the classes are balanced; it really depends on how you play them. Don't be that guy who rushes into combat as a hunter, or thinks that they can do everything with a warlock. It's not going to work. The only thing that needs to be fixed is the vehicles. The Interceptor is pretty much a one hit kill and can only be killed by using rocket launchers or the Warlock's Super. To me that's OP. All classes can perform the other classes as well in various degrees of effectively. You can snipe with a Titan, stealth melee kill with a warlock, and go close quarters with a Hunter. Is doing the above mentioned viable? Maybe. Depends on your play style. Is it efficient? Probably not. It's like telling a Police Officer to do CPR on someone. The Police Officer knows the basics of it, but a paramedic could probably do it better. edited
tl;dr
If you are hating on how unbalanced this game is, you suck.
***seriously, before you look to others for fault, first look into yourself.
