Hello everyone I love exploring all the worlds in the beta but I do not like getting lost on my journey so I would hopefully like to see an integrated world map while on exploration mode or just in general!!.

Yes, I thought the same thing.

Makes exploring pointless. If you want a map, draw your own! (Now you're exploring!)
-
It would be really cool if you had to fill it in as you explored the world similar to minecraft.

I don't really need a map but some kind of virtual north pole would be nice. Its hard to describe waypoints without a point reference.

you really don't need one, I figured it out with in a day, the maps aren't as big as they seem

Yes! I have been posting a similar post tryin I get this known! A map that can be pulled up in the start menu, next to the roster, character, inventory would work fine. I do t want to go to orbit just to guess where I am. I know they want us to be good at geography, but I can be good at it with a map too :)
-
I agree a map of your current location would be nice. It can help you find things and people to find you.
-
Yeah you got that right. I really think exploration would be much more interesting with the integration of a world map.
-
I have to agree.

World map is a must.

when opening the ghost interface, it would be nice to see a somewhat transparent version of the world or area map. Maybe a 50% transparency, to be able to see the world around you. that way you can view the map and enemies at the same time. I wouldn't mind having to go to the locations before being able to view them in the map.
-
Yeah I agree, a map to help navigate would be a welcome addition.

-
Agreed, It isn't too bad in the more open areas not having a map but in areas like Hellmouth even a basic outline of the place would help navigate.
-
I agree. A world map would probably help as I did find is easy to get lost in some of these areas. It's especially easy if it's your first time playing in it.

listen to yourself for one bungie flat out said no to a map and exploration means explore no map needed wonder around see the sights run missions have fun a map will only funnel people to x spots and that takes away from the exploring that bungie wants you to do so just no

i found my way around pretty easily

A map would definitely be a welcomed addition (by me), but if they really don't want to have one in, perhaps just adding in the names of areas connected to yours (on a nav point showing where they are) during nav mode would be good enough for me. I just want to be able to essentially draw out my own map in my head, and having a few more nav points would help immensely imo.

Edited by FoxxLive: 7/29/2014 7:26:53 PMI think for some of the scouting missions we did (which I got plenty) should over time build a world map, for example we do like 5 or so per main area of a location like Old Russia and eventually the tower will start generating a map for us and thanks us for the information. Also like on the second campaign mission maybe we can find computers or something else to speed it up. I don't really need a map or care that much about one cause I like the fact that we have to explore but some of my friends and others were asking about this so this can still encourage people to explore and do missions too.

Ik I had no idea where the heck I was!!!! I'd love a world map in like the top corner or pause menu even

I was going to post this suggestion, but you got there before me, so you've earned a +1. Destiny badly needs a map to make navigation easier. I never really got lost, but I did end up back in the same places when I was trying to explore the map and find certain areas. As someone else said, custom waypoints would be a good feature, but I think being able to mark your map so you can revisit interesting areas would be an excellent idea, too. Being able to use multiple marks and being able to scroll through them would also not go unappreciated, and giving them rudimentary tags like "loot" or "cave" would make it even easier to navigate, especially if you have a multitude of marks.
