Do you feel special for being in the Destiny Beta?
So I just want to see what's happening with people's minds, and see in numbers, not names, which ones of you feel like the beta (However short it was.) was a gift that you enjoyed and enjoyed being a part of, to help Bungie prepare themselves for the Day One launch. Specifically so they don't get swamped like a log of game companies did at release day.
You don't have to post, all you need to do is... Vote. That's all I'm asking of you. If you feel like you were a part of something special, something that helped the game along greatly with your time and efforts, click 'yes'. If you felt special, but more for being in a beta than because of the reasons, click 'a little'. And if you feel like it was just a waste of your time, then click 'no'.
Edit: The first option is supposed to be 'I'm', but the apostrophe is kind of broken it seems.

I feel special because after being in the alpha I needed it in my life...withdrawal was strong in me.

I voted no, but mainly because it felt more like a demo than a beta. When I think of beta testing, I think of carefully selected players given specific tasks to test specific points of the game - ai, weapon balance, server load etc - and give feedback. This was handed out to every preorder, and then just given to everyone, with no clear communication on how to give feedback - or even if we were required to. And then the last few hours was a specific server function test which kicked us all out, and all a got was a twitter message! Not beta - DEMO.

What about if I was in the Alpha as well? Does that make me 2x special?

I know alot of people said that by making the game open it killed the exclusivity of it, but i had a lot of RL friends who didnt get to play the beta. I personally feel like that guy on the corner preaching hell and damnation for not repenting, iv been pissing my friends off non stop trying to get them to pre-order and get ready. since the beta ended i think the word i would use to describe how i feel is [u][b]obsessed[/b] [/u].

Nope. At first I was, but then halfway into Beta I got an email from Playstation Store inviting me to the Beta. So I'm by no mean special. I got to play is all I'm happy about. Nothing to be proud about.

Like many of us here, we blindly pre-ordered that week of E3. Knowing barely what it really was about except,guns, space, and PS4. (not a fanboy. I own both systems)

No, I don't once it was opened to anyone with a console basically. I showed interest in the game by pre-ordering, and I am rewarded by everyone getting the reward who happened to check it out.

I'm thankful, but I don't feel special because it was open for everyone towards the end (which, btw, I think was a good thing). I guess I feel a little special because I played the alpha. But only a little.

1 ReplyIf they left it closed, access only for the people who pre-ordered it, then yes. But since they made it open anyways, not at all.. I pre-ordered specifically for the beta.

I don't feel special. Millions of people played it. That isn't to say I'm not glad I got to. It was great fun. and off-set a lot of the doubts I had after pre-ordering.

The title is worded weirdly: surely you don't mean to ask if people feel special because they got to play it, right? Better as "Do you appreciate being able to play the Beta" or something like that. I feel thankful and lucky for my console choice as well as I got the full time experience with PS4. It was awesome.
