What are your top 3 most wanted and REALISTIC changes for Destiny?
What are your top 3 most wanted and REALISTIC changes for Destiny within the first 1-2 patches after release in september? Please be realistic and explain.
Realistic = things that can be done within the first patches after the September release.
Unrealistic = complete new games modes/classes/abilities, complete overhaul of open world maps with flourishing wildlife and NPCs etc.
You can add 1 unrealistic bonus wish for shits and giggles! :D
1) Better use of D-pad (AND touchpad on PS4) for things like a Ghost flashlight etc.
Console players are already plagued with limited control options. Please Bungie, don't waste the very important D-pad (and touchpad) for trivial things.
2) Reduced loading time
Because ... going into orbit is just a glorified loading screen right now.
3) Ledge grab
Because ... missing a ledge by a few inches and falling is so last gen FPS. Climbing ledges has become a kinda/sorta standard in the last few years in first person action games.
Bonus) My number one unrealistic wish for Destiny: 60FPS Crucible with optimized netcode.
Because ... trying to make the Destiny experience the same across all platform generations sounds like something a marketing guy would come up with because polls may indicate that sales on old gen consoles suffer if worded otherwise.
Its a pure business decision because current gen doesn't have the install base yet, I kinda understand. I just wished everyone would or could be honest about it.

1) weather effects and water droplets on your HUD when you look into a storm or go into a water fall 2)ledge grab and maybe some wall riding to get more flow in the game. 3) better gun sounds 4)cleaner HUD or more futuristic idk

1) Matchmaking for raids and patrols. 2) More game modes allowing for pre-made fire teams larger than 3. 3) In game chat options - voice or text with keyboard support.

Edited by MilesFlynnn: 9/12/2014 4:50:27 PMrealistic: sparrow racing more people in the world. the beta was populated and i feel like the actual game is sparse. more random world events. i am lvl12 and 8 and have seen 2 events. not a lot. proximity chat in the tower more gun customization. allow me to change the scope, color, whatever to make it mine. this can be done thru engrams also, more engram drops. i got a lot in the beta and hardly any in the game. better sound option. allow me to turn the game volume down and leave chat up. better clan options. i havnt seen anything in the game that uses your clan. make clan v clan battles. unrealistic: offline mode. some people seem to want this i do not matchmaking for raids 60 fps bonus: make the space ship worth something. as of now its just eye candy for the loading screen. i think thats enough. thanks for the fun game bungie. i am at work and all i want to do is go home and play.

#1 Become legend. Not seeing this right now. The story/lore is currently too shallow. My character feels so random too. We need ingame lore and not some lazy grimmoire bullshit. #2 Diverse gameplay, i. e. make strikes and story missions with variable tasks. Not just the usual Dinkel-hacking-hordemode. Lol, I'd even be happy to do an escort quest^^ #3 Content. Just keep it flowing! You promised us epicness, now you gotta deliver. By epic I don't mean an epic grindfest to level 30 xD

1) I would love to see an option to dual other human players, as an interaction thing. Ex: I initiate a dual request to a specific player, player gets notification for if, if accepted.. A countdown of 3 seconds begins and you fight in a 1v1 u can only damage one another and you fight until one is left standing, upon getting defeated, you don't die, you simply do an animation of getting on your knees or some sort of defeated animation. 2) I would also like to see an option to directly send a message straight to another player, unless I'm completely clueless and haven't noticed, I have moments in game where I simply feel it would be a better experience if you wanna send someone a message but have to go through the hassle of going to the option to go to their profile and finding the option to send message and then wait for it to load to send the message, by the time you're done they might be long gone. Having a direct option to "send message" would be fast and pretty handy. 3) Higher level cap would be highly appreciated but I'm almost sure you guys will include that sooner than later.

1) hand cannon needs faster reload or bigger mag size in my opinion. 2) I'd like to be able to turn a new characters head mid creation so I can see the fulfill extent of faces and hair styles. 3) scout rifles are so slow to shoot and long range, so why is there damage being lowered? I'd like to see the damage the highest of all the rifles. If anything the auto should be lowest cause it has highest dps. I don't know, makes sense to me.

Your last point I agree with! It's the fact there's more last gen than next gen! I'd like to think by the time the next game is released it be full next gen

1 thing I would love would be if Bungie actually let people play the game they purchased. Thousands of college students can not play the game which should be a huge problem for Bungie.

3 RepliesJust an option to turn off or lower music volume, can't believe the battle music is louder then Alpha and Beta. Such a horrible distraction in the middle of tense fights, I want to talk and co ordinate with friends.

Now I've only played the beta as of yet but I do see one thing that's a fairly big grievance around here, and that's the lack of an in-game chat/communication function. I'm all for not having to hear all the squeaky little voices and rampant use of unsavory exploitives that is inherent to open voice chat, rather I only speak to my actual friends over XBL and care only to hear them, however there is a need for some system of communication. How that slipped by unchecked is a big oversight. A realistic fix that may be implemented with the least bit of coding trouble might be a simple text system. You have a mailbox that displays an icon when someone has sent a mail to your character. You go to the quick mail function to read it. This overlays the game on the fly rather than taking you out of the game. You use an overlayed virtual keyboard function to reply. You back out of the mail function and get back to business. A very simple form of in-game communication. This way you're not stopping play to open up xbl messaging constantly or having to friend and/or verbally communicate with every player you come across. It's doable and I assume more coding economic than implementing open channel proximity chat and all that. Anyway, just a thought.
