All Secret Places in Destiny Beta
There are three secret places that I know of in the destiny beta. All of them are guarded by invincible troops so if your a low level don't go after them. The invincible troops are showed by having a level of ??. All three have one loot crate and two of them have one dead ghost. The first is under a small building in "The Steppes". You can hear a roaring sound as you go near the building it is the most obvious of the three. Once your down there you can see there is one Hive Knight and two Hive Acolytes. Once you enter where they are turn left two find the loot crate also as you enter there is a chance of anther loot crate spawning outside the entrance. The second place is in "Sky Watch". If u jump off the cliff behind the helicopters there is a hole in the wall. An invincible Hive Ogre will come out. He is hard to get by but the loot is very easy to find and the ghost is in the room to the right. The last is a whole new place and every one there is invincible. It is in a place called the "Grotto". How you get there is quite simple. As soon as you enter the Forgotten Shore just keep going forward and in the corner there will be a path way. Go along it until you find two Fallen Dregs. Go past them to get to the Grotto. It is full of Hives and and a new enemy called a Hive Shrieker is there. As you enter the Grotto the path will spilt into two. Go down the bottom one to find the dead ghost. There is also a big steel door that will probably have something to do with the story on the bottom path. I still can not find the loot crate because I can't go in with out being killed. Hope you like this msg me if you find anymore places. Also msg me if you can find the loot crate in the Grotto.

We explored pretty much all of the moon that wasn't locked and found a level 7 Ogre deep inside the moon. We also found some level 12 hallowed knights that were killable. Dropped some pretty awesome loot.

that's a load! I got into that room with the 3 enemies and that room to the left was empty

2 RepliesMy friend and I managed to get past the Shrieker in the Grotto after a while of trying. Once in the alien ship, we found a large cave full of invincible hive and a hive wizard. Since we were resawning back in the cave when we died, we decided to explore. Thats when I came across another secret passage of to the side. I went in and discovered a MASSIVE HIVE OGRE 8x bigger than a thrall. I was so shocked the first time he just killed me. So, after much trying I was able to jump over him. THere was nothing on the other side, just a small indent in the cave with a few buried pots. Pretty dissapointing, but I still suggest you see the Ogre for yourself, very cool.

1 ReplyI just don't see why they'd make invincible enemies at all. Cheap as all get out. They always kill in one hit. I've even taken the time to test their attributes. Weapon types, elemental weapons. Huge explosions from rockets and grenades. Golden gun as a Hunter class. My throwing knife... Nothing works. It's just as I said. Cheap...

1 ReplyI managed to get in but I didn't find a chest also there is a direct link to the end of the tunnel that the shrieker is blocking in the refinery where you survive 3 waves for the devil's lair mission, it's by the blown up truck.

I managed to find a place called ''Refinery' after running past many enemies that had a question mark for their lvl.

3 Repliesthat place leads to the area where you fight off the waves of fallen and hive on the strike mission, and ?? does not mean invincible it just means it is 5 levels higher than you (i think) i know you can kill some ... just not the level 20 ones.

I've found 4 areas like that so far. In the basement of a ruin in the back of the forgotten shore is one and if you see the strike trailer in the area with the beam gate things. There's an entrance to a cave by a derailed train. The other two are as you've said

8 RepliesMade a quick video in Share Factory showing the Grotto for anyone interested. I can't wait for the beta to return so I can try to explore these other areas. It's just really fun dodging the danger or imminent death and going where you're not yet meant to go.

in grotto it will be on the left along the shore line. to get there easily make sure you know how to move and time your lift. The hive are marksmen in the area but using the lift within a .5 second interval from the ground while moving foward and left to right during lift will get you through just fine.

1 Replypeople are lying the "??" level doesnt seem to mean anything, i fought level 11 guys as level 5 so there is no "they are only "??" when they are 5 levels higher than you" or "the are "??" when they are too high a level to detect" thats bullshit when you get killed by them it sometimes tells their level in the upper right. i was biking down one area and ran into red "??" guys and they instant-killed me and in the upper right i was killed by a lvl 20. the "??" level is to tell you "run the -blam!- away" or "dont bother attacking, just run through"

i went further into the grotto and found a ogre that fires purple beams out of its mouth. It was hard to get past because it stomps and kills you every time i eventually pasted it but their was nothing after :(

8 RepliesI think I may have stumbled upon a new secret area during the mission in the forgotten shore were you have to scan two objects to find out its linked to skywatch. While I was roaming around one of the objects i found a staircase leading down to a place called the "bunker" where I saw two hive knights and one enemy i have never seen before. I died as soon as I threw a grenade at them ( I was a lvl 3 at the time) and unfortunately I did not see any loot crates.

Most of the ?? mobs i have seen have been lvls 18-26

2 Repliesfor the one at "sky watch" let the lv ??? guy chase you out onto the ledge and throw a grenade and if u timed it right the blast will knock him off the ledge so u can safely search the room with no worry of getting killed

4 RepliesThe enemies with ?? level are there to stop you from going any further than your supposed to. But, I think Bungie is hiding something in those areas. I must explore them all.
