I know this is the Beta, and I'm fully aware that most features aren't present in this testing phase. With that being said, I hope to GOD that there will be some sort of penalty for constant quitters. Whether it be a temporary ban, or negative stat effects, or maybe even a separate server where quitters can play with other quitters. It's just ridiculous. The quitting is annoying, but the RATE at which people quit is mind-blowing. Especially since there is no team balancing. How does anyone expect the match to be fair at that point? Not only do the quitters get away Scott Free and leave the Honorable Guardians to their deaths, the Guardians who are left behind get their virtual asses handed to them on a stick! Please tell me there are future plans to address this! Thanks!

I agree, but I live in a rural area, and I lag out a lot so quit punishing games ruin my day but I bet (for pvp ) their is a game finish xp reward ( note that this could just be the xp from the kills

What about a glimmer fee that you get back if you stay or doubled on a win but if somebody leaves their glimmer fee is distributed through out their team.
-
How about you quit two matches in an hour and your armor goes highly visible hot pink for the next 24 hours.

Edited by Jollyman Syco: 9/1/2014 12:59:08 AMWhat about lag outs, some people don't want to quit but the system lags out, had that happen several times during the beta. Most systems with this function qualify lag out as a quit or a loss.

How about special competitive playlists where there is some penalty? Sometimes people gotta go..

Well if noobs weren't matched up against MLG players we wouldn't have this problem. Nobody would need to quit because they'd have a fair match. I myself rage wen facing up against a team composed if friends and i either have to carry most of team or my team carries me. I almost always get noobs on my team except on battlefield, but thats irrelevant. I dont want to get punished for trying to get a better lobby. So wat if those good players have to find another lobby. They can find a harder one for all i care. Or better yet. Get sum ariund their skill. Neec better matchmaking

They have this in reach so hopefully Destiny does 2.

Too Right mate. Too many time During the House of Devil, I had to fight thru the entire level (getting -blam!- by the tank several times in the process) just because players didn't want to team up with someone was a higher level (Me). Btw Plz support my idea and help me make it official: http://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/68693909/0/0

Do sports teams walk off the field when not winning no do race car drivers pull off track when in last place no how could they ever get better if they did and what would the fans think . This is sad that people only want ease and victory it is a plague on society !
-
How about, if you leave the game, you should be locked out of pvp for 30 minutes.
-
You should just lose some xp you gained in that match. Have it count as a lose or something.
-
Penalizers need to be quitted
-
I don't know man. Look at the bo2 league play system, it is a good thing that quiters get punished but it is a pain in the ass if you are getting punished because your whole team left and you want to leave to.
-
I think so too, BUT only if they do it multiple times, not just once or twice. if they did it Back to Back then yes
-
I'm not sure but this might be a simple solution to all of this. If a player happens to leave a match (e.g. connection problem), that "player" is still there but controlled by an AI of similar skill lvl. So l for example, a new blood joins a match. He is lvl 8 with an average k/d and a better than average w/l. If he, for any reason, left that session, an AI with say the skill of a fallen captain took his place. The game would continue with full teams, the actual players left in the match now have meat shields to take some of the heat off them, and the player that left doesn't't have to worry about their stats getting messed up because of circumstances.

I remember playing some guy named cod_something and he backed out And all I could think was typical cod player. I have no clue why someone would back out of beta it's not like ur kd or w/l matters. I agree there should be a serious penalty for backing out. Maybe glimmer or the inability to gain xp or special weapons

Dam straight quitters need to be punished. Good multiplayer etiquette has sadly vanished and the unbelievable amount of people leaving games has to be stamped out. Ah the good auld days were people would finish the fight and send a GG when they lost. Thank god I'm not the only one fighting to see this insubordination dealt with. The Noobs have grown up into Trolls. Bungie help us

Dear Mr/Mrs we would like to invite yu into the ALLBLACK EVERYTHING CLAN/CREW/CULT we were told by bungie you were wise, but we did not forsee such heights of manners and intellect. Me and my people need a few more guns we arent trying to be the biggest crew we are trying to be the BRAVEST https://www.bungie.net/en/Clan/158922

So penalize the players and don't address the real problem that the MM system seems horrid. You've got fresh players going up against players with vets. Is there any wonder they're being chewed through at an alarming rate and quit? There doesn't look like there's any system which tries to match you with a team of your lvl or at least form balanced team based on the Fireteam's lvl. Also, why is there no system which drops new players into empty slots effectively? I keep noticing these things with Bungie "social aspect" of the game and most people have their head too far up their arse worshiping the game, to realise there are issues in basic tools for players to organise and set up their matches. I'm not even talking about the game's content, just basic MM tools. Separate servers pffffffffffffffffffft. Who's going to pay for it? You?
-
Maybe not punished. A game should not punish players. Look at league of legends. When you quit a game in progress it puts a wait timer on you. What I would like to see is an away option. It basically puts you into the respawn screen, and if you take to long it replaces you with another player. Or some other idea that would allow people with lives to still play.
-
Only problem is what if there power or internet goes down for some reason
-
How could you guarantee that the person didn't leave the game for genuine reasons? Getting punished for unavoidable things would only harm the game
-
I enjoy being the only one left, you know everyone you see is an enemy. I think its easier because theirs only one person to bring the team down. I've one several matches on crysis this way.

Edited by Xelthas: 7/22/2014 4:17:32 PMI think they should put a wihdrawal percentage. for each time you abort it add's to your percentage of (games quit/games participated). This withdrawal should be seen in the stats too. Once you reach 5% you get penalties (reputation loss / pvp stat malus / etc dunno what would be good) The first penalty shouldn't be too huge but still hurt a little. After that, everytime the % raises by 1 the penalty becomes much bigger. Once you reach 10% it should start banning your account from PvP for a set amount of time (maybe an hour). There will still be the previous penalties though. The withdrawal rate will concern every kind of leaving, even DC's ! I also think that every week we should get a set amount of jokers. this is in case you really need to leave for something, or for real DC's. So their point is to not get points on your withdrawal for randomly dosconnecting. Eachtime you leave or disconnect, you will lose one of your jokers. If you're out of jokers, everything afterwards will go to your withdrawal rate. Jokers will be reset every week. Jokers that haven't been used during a week, won't be taken over to the next week. I think it would be bad to get penalized for it. If ou want to lower your rate, you'll have to play without aborting to lower the (aborted games/started games) rate. Feel free to comment to this and discuss it !

Aw ya sissy! You afraid of loosing get over it.

Stop crying about it it's happened to everyone and it happens in every game once in a while so who cares go complain about actual important stuff
