Larger Fireteam Size?
Now, I understand that many missions are and will be unable to maintain more than 3 players per mission. But would it be possible to raise the limit of 3 players per fire team in regular missions and explore mode?
For most of the beta period, I've had 4-5 people friends (including myself) playing Destiny, and we're loving it, especially the social features. However, considering this game is being pushed as a social game, why not allow more players to be in a firesquad and complete missions together? I doubt it would strain the system too much to have 4-5 players per fire team - shoot, I've seen 5-10 players in one area alone in the explore mode, and there were no issues.
Any thoughts?

Completely agree, I'd like to see the fireteam size increased to 6 for patrol.

2 RepliesI also want this as well. It is rather unfair to be forced to pick which one of your friends you leave behind when you want to go on Strikes or explore missions.

Completely agree. You can have a clan of X, but limited to 3 people in a Fireteam.... Come on, we have 5 people who want to play and we're limited to a 3 and 2..

Completely agree. Nothing like having to leave someone behind after switching from other games with 4-5 player squads or 4 player campaigns(Halo, etc). After all these years it doesn't seem fair to change now. Hopefully this is just a beta feature and not representative of the master.

Absolutely. Especially for Patrol missions. It would be great to have a team of 6 running around helping eachother out. My group is always having to leave someone out due to the fireteam cap of 3. We have 5 close friends playing, so the only thing we can all do together is Crucible or raids, and for a raid we'd need to find a 6th...

1 ReplyI have to agree. We have a regular group that plays together all the time. At least let us have more in the fire teams in the exploration part of the game or at the very least let us join our friends in exploration without having to team up. I understand the need to keep the integrity and difficulty of missions and strikes. But we should be able to have more than just 3 friends on an exploration map.
