PvP Gear the Same?

Just like the alpha, I've noticed that all the gear looks similar. At low levels, gear looking the same and having low customization is understandable. But, I've noticed that all three pvp faction vendors (DO, NM, FWC) all carry gear that looks exactly the same, aside from defualt color schemes. On top of that, the gear they carry, which is end game pvp gear, looks almost the same as low level gear, such as what we are able to equip in the beta. Again, the only difference is that they have different colors, better stats, and slight (hardly noticeable) changes. In the Alpha, Shaax (main crucible vendor) sold gear identical to the vanguard armor. I can't tell if this is the same in beta because Shaax does not have anything in his store available. The Vanguard Armory guns (level 20 and purple) all look pretty similar to low level guns that everyone is able to use in the beta. Just reskinned and with better stats. Side Question: What's up with Shaax having nothing available in store, and the FWC not having armor available? TL;DR: PvP Gear looks the same as low level gear, except for base color and design. Same can be said about guns, both PvP and Vanguard.

  • It's not uncommon for companies to use lots of placeholder models in beta tests. Most WoW patches that are releasing new raid content have the next tier of gear as placeholder models in the Public Test Server.

    • i agree, in other games, there is a significant difference between starting armor, mid, and top tier armor. look at Halo Reach, everyone wanted the badass armors. look at mass effect, higher tiers looked cooler. most games have completely different models of armor, not just different colors... im not grinding to get blue armor instead of red. i want armor with spikes... or metallic crystals that shoot flames!!!
