Basically we are having issues with the internet at the moment and possibly the next few months, the idiot decided to say "Well after you have done your course we can get rid of the internet because its rubbish and we can buy better things".
He completely ignores the fact that I do a home based game testing which requires an internet connection or searching for a job and because HE doesn't use it then its pointless to have it because it does nothing for HIM.
In case you haven't noticed everything is about him and -blam!- everybody else including his family.
So, do you think you could really buy something better than an internet connection in today's world or is the internet the most important thing anybody can own?
-
Why are these old posts getting bumped all the sudden

>Lone Paul

So it's all about YOU? You buy the internet if only YOU use it. Crazy thought?
-
Tell your dad about porn
it works every time
kek @ lonepaul

It's a lonepaul thread... Lol
-
Tell him the internet said he's useless.
-
Let me summarize this: "Weh, my dad pays for a service that he doesn't use and wants to cancel it but I use it for gaming and not a job and instead of contributing to it, I'm just going to whine because things aren't going my way! My dad is so stupid!"
-
Have you tried toast/envelope? If that don't work, try toast/e-mail and then toast/telegram
-
Dude, the internet is useless
-
He hasn't found out about porn yet, has he?
-
Well, food is more important, so is water, and in fact a house is more important too! Don't forget about cloths. Why not toss in air for good measure. We also all need to go to the bathroom, and need a bed to sleep in.
-
Get a job pay for it yourself. Welcome to adult hood.
-
It's his house so he can get rid of it if he thinks it's pointless
-
He's only saying that because he knows what you do on the Internet.
-
Show him the fun side of the internet.
-
Have you showed him pornhub, redtube, meat spin? If he's a dad then you'll get high speed internet within a day

Edited by Cultmeister: 9/23/2014 4:28:14 PMThe Internet is becoming more of s necessity by the day. Sure, there are other places you can go to get access, but just because there's a phone at the end of the street, that doesn't mean you don't need one in your home as well. Oh yay I thought this looked familiar; some arsewipe necro'd it.
-
Pay for it with your job?
-
Internet is a privilege, not a right. If you don't pay the bill you don't have a say. Don't spout this bull shit you need the internet to find a job... Get on your bike ride around town or look in a newspaper then buy your own internet
-
old people = internet is bad.
-
You have no say in this. If he pays the bills for the Internet he can do what ever he wants with it. You don't need the Internet to find a job, there's jobs in the newspaper, walk around look for one. If you want Internet you have to pay for it your self. Stop being a baby.

Just wanna see if anyone else is pissed about this I drive a semi truck for a living I own EVERY copies of halo and F*CKING LOVE BUNGIE I have very little money and scraped up enough to preorder what was an awesome game from what I could make out of the beta just to find out I needed an internet connection just to play I would really like to play your game while over the road even if it is just the campaign over amd over againwhat about the poorer families who can't afford internet??? This wasn't very nice of you Bungie and you should be ashamed of yourselves anyone should be able to enjoy such an awesome game at anytime internet or no internet.... I know you focused on-the-job multiplayer role and you did phenomenal but I beg you to reconsider your internet required status because a single tear fell from my eye when I had to return my favorite game studios new awesome game because I can't play away from home and I'm only home 2days a month which I wish to spend with my family I seldom see PLEASE BUNGIE DO IT FOR THE TEAR

The internet is certainly a faster means to an end for most things. This would include shopping, news (if you take time to validate), information (to include studies), searches (jobs, item reviews), gossiping (usage of social media programs are great examples), gaming (another form of social media), and so on. With all that said the service is offered for free (in US) in most public places (food places, libraries, coffee shops...). For home use the payer of the bills is the decision maker. I don't want to put myself in the position of analyzing your families structure but can share if I saw a message like this I would take away your internet access as well.

Hey! lonepaul! I thought you left. Again.

The internet isn't useless, there is loads of wonderful gifs!
