In Game Grimore Please.
So, i am the sort of person who likes delving deep into the Lore of games while playing said game. Hence why I like Skyrim. So I love the Grimore System. However, I dislike the fact that this part of the game is not in the game but rather on the site.
Personally, I would like for a in game Grimore. Have it in the Ghost's Data banks or something, and have it work like a book: the picture of the card on one side and the info on the other, categorized into sections that make sense.
That way we can enjoy it in game.

This I would totally love. It's nice looking at the cards I've earned. But I'd prefer somewhere in game to read it. Perhaps in the Tower in the Hall of Guardians somewhere. Or maybe in the full game the Tower or the City will have more places, such as a home or library you can visit.

As an aside, it would provide further utility of the Ghost, who currently is only used for transfer to orbit and vehicle summoning. Ideally I would also like to see the implementation of narrated histories (details on areas, enemies, voice recordings left behind, etc.) that you could activate through your Ghost and then listen to as you explore the Wild. Imagine being able to hear about some of the details of the Exodus whilst walking around in Old Russia. Or the voice logs made by the people who were there whilst wandering between the rusted cars. Obviously you would still have purely text/image based entries as well but audible resources can be [b]SO[/b] evocative, if done correctly. All of this would need to be unlockable rather than a dump of info that you start with (otherwise it takes away from the exploring nature of the game). I am skeptical as to whether or not this will be implemented as it would require a substantial amount of voice acting but as a contribution to a living, breathing world? I can think of few things better.

The app is awesome it really is another way to bring people closer in the universe and goes hand in hand with the game really well I think

I think having that on the site/app and not in the game is a ploy to get people on the site and downloading the app

1 ReplyNot only that but the Clan system needs to be in game also. I am not a fan of the website clan stuff. It was really hard to get one going. And difficult to manage. I want an in game Clan view, where I can invite/join/leave and see who is online while in the game.

Great suggestion - I really hope Bungie implements this. Don't get me wrong I still love the idea of having the Destiny app & web interactivity but I would certainly like the option to digest the information in game should I choose.

4 RepliesI completely agree. I hate having to pull out an extra device just to see in game content. Because the Halo: CE Annversary edition had the terminals online, I never bothered using Halo:Waypoint. Instead, I chose to simply google all the terminal videos in one go on YouTube... It's unwieldy to use have to use other devices to reach game relevant content.

I agree. Having them accessible via your Ghost would be pretty cool. I enjoy the idea of them being on the companion app as well so you can read through them away from the game but it'd be nice to sit at the tower or find a nice view and just read through some.

3 RepliesIt's "Grimoire", not Grimore. A Grimoire is 'textbook of magic'. These 'cards' must have more to them than just lore info... My guess is that once you've actually collected all of the cards and know the secrets of the universe, some sort of buff is applied to your character...

10 RepliesUhhhh... Having played the Alpha, I can tell you that Grimore's are indeed in the game, viewable and attainable. In the player menu, there was an option to look at them and read them...

Pretty sure you'll be able to check them via the destiny companion app for your phone. I do like the idea of them being voiced however. IMO if rather not have to drop what I'm doing when I find a dead ghost just to go back to the tower for 6 lines of text when I can just look it up on my phone while I'm still in the area that I found the ghost. Who knows? Maybe that grimore card directly relates to that area that you find it in, shedding some light on what happened there.
