Which one would you pick?
I'm expecting the majority of the answers to be Ghosts of Onyx.
-
none since the novels are 343i's and aren't conan
-
The Flood. Can't believe it doesn't have a game already.
-
Anything by Bear or Nylund. Both are excellent writers.
-
fall of reach. greatest halo novel of all time.
-
Ghosts of Onyx. I still wish requiem in Halo 4 was onyx. :(
-
Fall of Reach, the original novel.
-
If Bungie had made Reach like it's novel equivalent, I wouldn't be saying Fall of Reach game right now. Seeing some of those moments from the novel, or snapshots of them from a gameplay perspective would be amazing. Xbox Juan is out now. Get to it somebody! And for people that say the novels don't have enough content to make a game out of, how about this? You make the weirdest Halo yet. By weird, I mean you take all the novels to date, and cram them into one game. A collection of stories from different perspectives in time, from different people. Spartans, Forerunners, Marines, Elites, and so on. A collection of the best moments from all the novels rolled up into short mini-campaigns and dropped into a big package. Not only would it help people who don't really know the backstory of the games so much, but it would really give 343 a chance to truly spice things up in the campaign with completely different playstyles, atmospheres, tones, and narratives all rolled into one sweet package. If they did this, alongside the MCC at a later date, I could die a happy man.

Fall of reach
-
Yup, Ghosts of Onyx.
-
The only ones that really work are Fall of Reach to Ghosts of Onyx. For the most part, the novels written during 343i's control of Halo focus heavily on story and would contain very little to no gameplay.
-
Halo evolutions Each story is a mission
-
SILENTIUM THE GAME: 6 HOURS OF CUTSCENES 17 MINUITES OF GAMEPLAY, ALL OF WHICH INVOLVE WALKING AROUND AND TALKING TO PEOPLE 10/10 GOTAY BELIVE THE HYPE IGN

I want to be a forerunner, so I'll make their saga into a game, bet they will eventually.

Yeah, First Strike would be a good choice.
-
Halo: First Strike would make an awesome game since the story does a perfect job of connecting the events of Halo: Combat Evolved and Halo 2 together. On a slightly unrelated note, I could also see The Fall of Reach (that completely ignores the events of Halo: Reach) and Ghosts of Onyx having awesome movie adaptations.
-
Wow, no one has mentioned any of the short stories from Halo: Evolutions. Allow me to be the first then. The Mona Lisa would be an awesome setting for a horror type Halo-themed game. Imagine Halo characters, weapons, and gear in a Dead Space style horror/survival game against the flood. Sounds a lot like Deadspace, but I don't care. Make it scary and make it canon and I would eat it up.

either silentium to please the community or glasslands to piss everyone off.

Edited by Unyielding: 6/28/2014 10:16:23 PMFirst Strike. A game filling in the story between Halo CE and 2 would be pretty epic.
-
Fall of reach
-
Fall of Reach/Cole Protocol.
-
The flood, Evolutions Or Cole protocol

Edited by Enlightened One: 6/28/2014 7:55:41 PMWonder what it would be like if 343 Industries made games based off the books exactly? Play as different characters at different parts of the game in Campaign. And the multiplayer was on a larger scale.. Like a battlfield type deal with all different classes and Covenant types and veichles?

First Strike would make for a superb game, as would Fall Of Reach
