I'm sure many of you have found the ogre, or sometimes gigantic hive knight that looms on the edge of a cliff in Skywatch. The thing is insanely powerful and near impossible to kill. No matter what I shoot at it, it only does one damage. Me and two other guardians managed to damage it enough that we could see a noticeable difference in its health, so it can be killed. If you are going to do this make sure you have a lot of free time, this guy has a crazy amount of health. Today is the last day of the Alpha, so lets do something big, lets take this guy down. How/tactics: - Lets make fireteams to go hunt this thing down right here, on this forum. (I would prefer people who have mics.) If you are free roaming Old Russia, go to the open Sky Watch area, lets get a butt load of people here. Lets meet up around 3:00pm PST - It has to be the ogre, it is slower and cannot kill you behind cover, the hive on the other hand is a giant fast beast with a mega sword. - If anyone wants to join a fireteam with me to do this my psn ID is redpanda577, friend me or whatnot. - Heavy weapons, special weapons, and supers don't make a difference it all seems to do one or two damage max. Thus, I would recommend bringing your best automatic guns(normal) and buying several extra ammo packs at the tower. This way we can maintain damage on the Ogre. - Grenades are important as it hovers over the ogre and continually deals one damage until it disappears. - If one guardian can drop from the railing onto the head of the ogre, it cannot get you. This is a good way to maintain agro on a single guardian. - When all guardians are out of ammo, two should go out into the frontier to retrieve ammo. One has to stay in the vicinity or else the ogre will disappear and respawn at full health. That is all I have thought of for now folks. Really looking forward to this. Seems that bungie has something in mind for the alpha at 6:00pm PST, so lets only take three hours to kill this thing.
