The Vault of Glass - Destiny's First Raid
So in this video, Jason Jones talks about The Vault of Glass near the end. (5:45) It is labeled as the most challenging experience that Bungie has ever created (and we cant forget how difficult Halo 2 legendary was!)
The clip shows six Guardians jumping from block to block as they disappear in just moments. At the end of the clip we see them standing in front of a triangle-shaped door.
Personally, I believe that this will be the first time we face the Darkness head on. Remember those Pyramid ships that we still know nothing about? Well if they truly are the Darkness, it is possible that their theme is triangles and pyramids. Otherwise, I'm completely lost about what it could be.

I thinks it's a Vanguard mission. When you look on the navigator map in that video(also where people discovered the Reef) there is an icon called Vanguard next to Crucible. I think Vanguard missions will be end game quests that give lots of loot and maybe teams of 6 participate in.

3 RepliesIf Destiny really is really going to have traditional MMO aspects, I wonder if dying brings the possibility of loosing exp/levels. It didn't happen in the Alpha, but it could have been disabled due to being the Alpha. However, usually this function is disabled in raids, so possibly no fears there.

The vault of glass is the only one as of for a while until they release more in dlc and requires endgame equipment to conquer

The Darkness having a triangle or pyramid theme could easily be true. There's a hunter cloak called the Cloak of the Trinary Star, and the flavor text talks about the cult of the Trinary Star, which despises and opposes the Traveler. It's basically all speculation on my part, but it's a possibility

2 RepliesHey guys guess what. This is for sure a raid. The door/empty void with floating platforms that disappear seems like it could take a decent amount of time to get down. Previously it was stated raids could take 45 minutes to crack. This will be a raid no question.

I think we will get 1 raid per planet (you can see the skull icon on Venus earlier which I think its the Raid icon). Raids should be end-game content so you should only be able to do them at max lvl and geared up your Guardian. The Vault of Glass seems like one of these last hardcorish raid where you can only get that X armor/weapon from that raid.

I would guess that this will be the first of the end-game level raids.

Nope I can bet everything I own that it is the most difficult raid in the game with propably a VEX boss at the end. The darkness will propably be in campaign missions if we see it out of cut scenes at all.
