Hi,
All these large clans on the forums seem overwhelming and I've always felt more efficient when playing with a smaller (under 50) group.
I was wondering if anyone knows any smaller Clans/guilds forming with dedicated players who know how group shooter games work, but always won't let so many people join, thanks!

I made an all female group (so far I'm alone) it's not a clan basically a place for ladies to talk about destiny. If your interested it's called Ladies of Legend :) if not it's cool.

Edited by Zona: 5/20/2014 7:43:09 PMI agree. I'm still unsure if I will "clan up" but definitely don't want some huge hardcore clan. Plus being a late 20's female I'm kinda picky an don't want to be in a clan of immature 16 year olds.

Edited by ScarletSolitaire: 5/20/2014 6:23:18 PM- quality AND quantity. Bigger isn't necessarily better, but luckily we have both. Don't be overwhelmed, think of those numbers as potential friends to join up with. In a small group you may find it difficult to team up with someone all the time, but in a larger group there's always someone there to play/talk with. :-)

Edited by CloudWolf: 5/21/2014 7:05:17 AMWe've got a great clan-listing over at: http://clansofdestiny.com The site provides tools to help find the right clan for you. You can be pro-active and use the Advanced Search form and Apply to clans yourself. http://clansofdestiny.com/clan/advanced_search Or if you're a bit more laid back, and can mark yourself as "Looking for clan" and let clan leaders send invites to you. Let me know what you think :)

Edited by Spawn: 5/20/2014 6:11:55 PMVenus, You're on the right path, the best way to experience a group is start with a core foundation of friends. You may not even have a "group" created on bungie.net. Slowly but surely you'll expand to a few more members. There are thousands of groups on bungie.net and for some reason most people think "bigger is better" with member count. I have found the best way to enjoy groups is to keep to a smaller standard, tight knit community. In fact, if you're regularly within Dunbar's Number, which is usually about 100-250 members. You're also able to maintain social relationships with your fellow gamers much easier.

I don't know what a clan is. I get that it's a group of people probably willing to play with each other. But to me: I'm bound to end up with bitchy teens or screaming kids. Or hardcore older guys who take the game way to serious. I personally don't care about age. Clans are a shitty website. Clans are invites on XBL for party chats or custom games with horrible game settings. Clans are spam. (Messages or "Join" invites) Clans are an online pyramid scheme like interactions. I get the team up idea. But isn't joining a clan for this game useless? Because of a 3man fire team?

Clans are primarily seen as a potential business opportunity now. A lot of exploiting can be done in a large group when done right. Fortuity not many managed to pull things off nicely and active members do get whittled down to a much lesser amount over time.

Here is a group that I started that will probably remain small, we're just a group of friends who want to make more friends and have fun gaming with each other.
