So my cat went missing on Friday and only came back Saturday night but seemed off and wouldn't eat or drink so we just figured he needed to rest.
Sunday morning he was the same so we checked his mouth (As much as we could) and put it down to possible bad teeth and we would take him the vets. So today we got an appointment but he went missing again and luckily I found him.
Went to the vets and found out he had kidney failure because he was poisoned with Anti-Freeze.
Had since he was a kitten, at the start of last year we had 3 cats and 1 dog, now we are down to 1 cat and 1 dog.....the last cat left is his sister as well.
This is on top of burying my Aunt this week as well. Pretty shoddy start to the week.

Hey man, you might take a lot of shit from people here, but this sucks. Any death coming from someone, or something, close to you is hard to deal with. Loyal and loving pets are hard to come by

I'm sorry to hear that. Stuff like that sucks

Dude, I'm sorry. I really am. I had to put down my cat last year since he was suffering and was in pain due to old age. He managed to live 10 years because he was a very obese animal for the most part. He had arthritis and diabetes. What made things worse was that his mind was already going. He wasn't himself anymore. He would just randomly stare off into space. At times though he would be back and acknowledge his surroundings, but he was already going to the point where he was mentally gone and not himself anymore. He went very peacefully, probably had the most comfortable death that was provided for him. It really sucked. It's about to be a year since his passing and I still miss him every now and then. I don't dwell too much about it because I know he lived the best life he possibly could. And as odd as this may sound right now, I've gotten used to not having him around anymore. Kind of a harsh thing to say, but it's true. I mean at first, it was really hard not having him here, but after time took it's tool and passed, things just moved on. Either way, My condolence to you lonepaul. I know what it's like to lose a cat and it's terrible.
