So do people actually think Destiny is going to beat CoD?
I see over and over again people on this website and on Waypoint raving about how Destiny is going to take the crown as the leader of gaming, crushing all of its opponents' sales and population numbers. I find this ridiculous. First of all, Destiny doesn't have nearly as big a fanbase as CoD, Halo, or even Battlefield. Next, the game is targeted toward... let's say... a younger audience. But more importantly, the game doesn't emphasize PvP. At the most, the game might be competition for Borderlands. If Bungie wasn't able to make Reach #1, then why do people think Destiny will be any different?

It has a chance of outselling Call of Duty, because Ghosts didn't outsell Black ops 2. Call of Duty is in a decline, most of the sales they will get will be people that didn't buy the game for next gen at launch.
