Bnet Bugs: Canceling an edit can mess with future edits

Title: Canceling an edit can mess with future edits Description: I encountered this bug when I was editing a multi-post thread that I've been creating in a private drafting group. It's not terribly huge, but as ever, all bugs must die. Repro Steps: 1) Log in. 2) Create a thread with an original post of "I am an original post!" 3) Reply to that thread with something along the lines of "I am a reply!" 4) Reply to that reply with something along the lines of "I am a sub-reply!" 5) Go to the original post, and click the edit button. Observe that the post body in the edit box reads "I am an original post!" 6) Cancel the edit, and then click the edit button again. Observe that the post body in the edit box still reads "I am an original post!" This is the intended behavior. 7) Now go to the reply, and click the edit button. Observe that the post body in the edit box reads "I am a reply!". 8) Cancel the edit, and then click the edit button again. Observe that the post body in the edit box now reads "My body is ready..." as if your post has been erased. Observe that further cancels and edits will not make the post body in the edit box say "I am a reply!" 9) Refresh the page, and repeat 7) and 8) to observe that the behaviour resets after a refresh. 10) Edit the reply to read "I am an edited reply!" and submit the changes. Repeatedly click the edit and then the cancel button in order and observe that the behavior from 7) to 8) does not occur, the post body in the edit box should continue to read "I am an edited reply!" 11) Refresh the page, and repeat 7) and 8) to observe that the behaviour again resets after a refresh. 12) Repeat 7) through 11) with the sub-reply to observe a simillar behaviour. Result: Editing, canceling, and editing a reply or sub-reply voids out the edit box, making it impossible to edit without refreshing or retyping your post manually. Expected Result: Editing, canceling, and editing a reply or sub-reply should have simillar behavior to editing, canceling, and editing an original post: the post's body should not ever be voided out. Notes: This bug is not nearly as bad as the much older bug that had existed months ago with edits before you fixed it, but it's still an unusual behavior. OS: Windows 7 Browser: Internet Explorer 11 Are you running add-ons/plug-ins?: Nope Dark/Light Theme?: Dark theme master race. Strike it down with all of your hate! Good luck!

I get this bug as well, usually just clicking edit for a second time if I don't change anything the first time, but I haven't bothered to hunt it down like you did. Windows 7 64 Firefox
