Me I think that with the adverting of CoD it will with out a doubt beat it out.
What do you think?
-
I don't think Destiny will sell more copies than COD.. but possibly in a few years when the sequel is out.
-
1: Call of Duty is famous for its pre-preteen fanbase. 2: CoD hasn't had a legitimate Story in years. 3: Destiny comes from Bungie, the creators of the Revolutionary Halo play-system, without which, games like CoD would still be in development. 4: Full character customization. 5: Brand new, big title games tend to outsell older ones simply for the fresh new feel and look 6: Destiny is a legitimate game with goals, backstory, feels, and an immersive experience, once again all of which CoD has be barren of for years 7: did I mention Goals? As in something other than hitting prestige and losing all of your progress for a shiny new badge? 8: A new CoD is popped out nearly every year. So it's obvious that a game that's been under construction for several years will easily beat out something so rushed. 9: SPAAAAAAAAAACE MAAAAAAAAAAAGIC. 10: Ghost gun. 11: Females = Breasts for all you gamer girls and G.I.R.L.S., something else CoD severely lacks in. 12: Badass Armor, a shielding system, supers, vertical movement, personal vehicles, elemental multipliers (weakness and resistance) and bigger, more exaggerated explosions to make for hella crazy firefights. 13: do you see where I'm going with this? Destiny has plenty of points that Call of Depressing lacks, be they insignificant as the ability to actually jump, or have breasts (not that having boobs in the game is trivial...) to things like truly custom weapons that aren't modded the same as the one everyone has. It's painfully obvious which game is the better one.

I think not every one said the same thing with BF4 and yet COD had more sells. If it dose then that's fine by me but its not the same as COD.
-
Destiny wins against cod in every way
-
No No one knows about density
-
I am not a huge cod fan, but I don't think Destiny will run them out because they are completely different. If we are saying which is better than DESTINY ALL THE WAY

Edited by Azraels Sorrow: 1/16/2014 9:44:53 PMIt is hard to compare. Destiny is not a pure MPshooter. I know you can play mp but I don't think it's the point of the game. I am looking forward to my 3 man fire team. Playing through the coop with my friends. Cod is about grilling and chilling. To Awnser your question no. Cod gets more casual players. Destiny is for true gamers who want depth. I am sure I'll enjoy both
-
~definatley gonna beat the -Blam- out of CoD
-
As long as the 12 year-olds stay on CoD, I'm fine.
-
Defiantly definitely two different words. But let's see how destiny is.
-
How can you compire COD and Destiny they are norhing a like :PP???
-
to early to tell If CoD doesn't do something to to get either on servers or re implement lag compensation back into matchmaking, they will lose a LOT of people. This current game is absolute crap off host, and there are no regional selection options.
-
Please stop comparing games lol the only similarity is that their first person shooters thats all xD
-
I don't think it's fair to even rank them in the same category, people used to use the term "Halo Killer" when halo was king and nobody thought it could be dethroned. Turns out it was dethroned by itself. I believe that is the only way CoD could die. Is if the developers screw it up themselves...

Edited by Luis: 1/22/2014 1:36:01 PMthe only reason COD is one of the bestselling games is because they have more advertising and little 7-9 year olds think its the best games cause every body plays it,I never really likes cod,and ghost killed itself, but what I'm saying is if it had as much advertising it would bear cod,but I hope it doesn't because if it did little kids would then be playing Destiny
-
No it won't, COD has been the best selling game franchise for years now and that won't change.
-
Hopefully, because cod has sucked for over how many years now...?

Edited by FairlySplendid: 1/15/2014 4:41:35 PMMy thoughts: Destiny is about the long-game. It won't "win" right out the gate. It will gain fans through osmosis, over time: - Friends of friends - Gamers bored with traditional shooters - Gamers bored with traditional MMOs - Generally, people tired of a particular franchise deciding to branching out - And those who are slow to jump on board Peaks and valleys. I expect to see solid launch numbers, followed by a lull (as people get distracted), followed by a slow and steady resurgence as people start to really appreciate Destiny for what it is. But that's just my two cents.
-
Destiny is going to be "Legend"ary and set every record in gaming. I know people from 60 - 10 yrs old are pumped for this game and it doesn't come out for 8 more months. That doesn't happen.
-
Defiantly, cause Destiny will defy the odds and beat out CoD
-
I don't care if it "beats" CoD or not, I just want it to be good.
-
Edited by Loki: 1/15/2014 12:28:03 AMThe fact that a CoD is released every year and everyone is realizing that its repetitive between, Titanfall and Destiny its time for CoD to die.
-
I think over time it will for sure. This game is grabbing a lot of Attention , so it's on the right track :)
-
Defiantly?? How does something beat out another defiantly?
-
CoD gamers need their CoDs so they stay out of games that require actual intelligence and tactics. Remember, Keep it Clean!
-
I'm gonna get both and like both but cod will out sell destiny
