What if this was Microsoft's and Sony's plan all along?

So both the Xbox One and PS4 are both x86 based, so whoever is working on an emulator for those consoles can more easily make the emulator. So, Xbox One. It originally had always-online DRM, but Microsoft then removed it because of the huge backlash they got from it, mainly due to horrible PR. Now the Xbox One doesn't have always-online DRM to attract more customers to it, along with the bundled in Kinect, which, brings in a certain audience as well. The whole TV aspect brings in the entertainment people (ie, they may not game all too much, but will watch TV/Netflix/Hulu/whatever on their console). I am going somewhere with this. Bear with me. Now onto the PS4. The Xbox One did everything that the PS4 didn't, which made the console more appealing to the average consumer, especially at that $400 price point. So Sony was able to bring in a huge audience on the hype train of "Screw DRM", and that has worked out very successfully for them right now. Here's where I'm going with all of this. So what if both companies made their consoles have no always-online DRM to begin with, but then once proper Xbox One and PS4 emulators come out, the companies will say "We need to implement always-online DRM to cut down on piracy." This move would essentially trap millions of gamers already invested into these consoles, and those gamers would be FORCED to deal with the always-online DRM. This way, Microsoft gets what they originally wanted, and I have no doubt in my mind that Sony wants the same thing. Conspiracies man, conspiracies.
