I just watched the moon trailer, and I must say I'm sorely disappointed. You can clearly see that bungie has decided to ignore basic science. For one, guns can't work in a vacuum environment. This completely ruins the game's realism. Two, the gravity on the moon is basically the same as earth. What is that? Nice job, bungle. And finally three where the moon has aliens hiding in it. I was hoping bungie would have a story more original than a 1930's alien horror thriller in which there are "ALIENS FROM DA MOON O NO."
0/10 will not be buying.

My god.

6.5/10 did legitimately piss some people off the 0/10 was a tad too obvious

Are you judging game logic? You can't do that it's impossible to question it the whole point is that it doesn't make sense use your imagination pretend there's a gravity field produced by their armour anything
-
dude, the answer is simple.. SPACE MAGIC!! #SpaceMagicForever
-
Because the games you play are exactly like real life...
-
Wait.. are you being serious?! I'm so angry. Reported. Muted. Urinated.
-
no games are realistic bud
-
> A giant magic space ball protects a city and gives guardians magic powers > complaining about scientific inaccuracies on the moon Lol
-
It's called science fiction. Destiny is not a space simulator.

10/10

They never said they were going for realism.
-
Guns can work in space as long as they have their own oxidizer loo it up

Edited by Mycroft: 10/7/2013 8:51:06 PMWhile this may not be a serious thread, I find the lack of difference in Lunar gravity to strain all credibility and really damages my suspension of disbelief. You cannot terraform mass. The traveler would have had to increase the size of the moon, to, you know, about earth size to increase its gravity. Doesn't mean I'm not going to buy Destiny, but it is hugely disappointing. It like Destiny is pulling a cheap sci fi movie trick by just ignoring the fact that the moon only has 1/4 the gravity of Earth. But those sci fi movies ignored the science because their budgets were to small to recreate Lunar gravity. All Bungie would have to do is alter a few lines of code. Maybe they will have some back story like there was a quasar or something plopped into the center of the moon, but that is still, frankly, lazy.

Guns work perfectly fine in a vacuum

*facepalm*

Gandalf said it best.

Or maybe there is like something on the moon that enables gravity like maybe on that cool moon base we saw

Edited by Banned n3rd: 10/13/2013 9:27:12 PMI have a couple of questions. First, why couldn't guns work in a vacuum? Second, if there was structure on the moon, it would most likely have an artificial atmosphere on the inside, would it not? And third, why do video games have to be realistic?
-
Edited by Crimson Thomas: 10/13/2013 9:09:16 PMYou're talking about a game where a magical sphere hovers above Earth, and with it's space magic it terraformed inhospitable planets? Then you go complaining about realism?
-
Hey in the future they can make atmosphere stabilizers on the planets/moons so it it similar to earth and then when we start planting vegetation on them they won't need a stabilizer maybe don't know but could have in the future
-
I don't think they were trying for realism.
-
By your maths 10/10 will be buying.

Come on, give me something to work with here. You didn't even allow me to be fooled for a few sentences. The trolling community is embarrassed by this little one, better luck next time.

1. Actually, modern guns would fire in space, because of oxidizer in the propellant because, you know, it's a SEALED casing. 2. When the Traveler came to the Solar System, it changed many things. That's why Venus is mostly jungle. 3. The Fallen are not from the moon, they've just made it their domain.

For one, these aren't normal weapons. For two, you completely brainless. You think the moons gravity is basically the same???? You need to go back to 4th grade, maybe then you get a girlfriend
