I decided to take a gander into the past a look at some of the things on this list and see what actually made it into what we have today. These suggestions are directly from the old thread. I'm simply going to put a check ([b]√[/b]) next to the things that made it. [b]Profile/Account Settings/Private Messaging[/b] [spoiler]1. Users should be able to see their own FULL ban history. 2. Change the Messaging System to "Conversation View" so users can see both sent and received messages with each user that they have made conversation with via PM. [b]√[/b] 3. Change username once! - Bungie Pro Restrictions [b]√[/b] 4. New login system without using WLID - evilcam's idea [b]√[/b] 5. A revamp on how you login to your Bungie.net account with connected services: [b]√[/b] 6. Sending multiple PM's simultaneously. Maybe up to 7 different users? [b]√[/b] 7. Fix bug that make a thread invisible on 2nd page of "Saved Threads" section. N/A 8. Cross Platform messaging. IE - Bungie.net to Xbox Live or PSN. 9. Friends post feed? - Select certain users and have live updates of their posts when they post in a box. Like a mini-stalker. Could be useful. [b]√[/b] 11. Forum statistics for users, ex: post title history, PPD, date achieved etc. 12. Notifications on being accepted to a group, getting a PM etc. [b]√[/b] 13. Different Bungie icon by join date - depending on how many years joined. - Link to post [b]√[/b] 14. More extensive visible post history. 15. Profile ID's changed to a URL based system and not a number system. EX: bungie.net/username/cryptic NOT bungie.net/ID#/209712 16. Ability to leave comments on each other's profile pages - via an "approval process" per user. [/spoiler] [b]Bungie.net Homepage and Globally[/b] [spoiler]1. Ignore feature. [b]√[/b] 2. Having the text formatting legend that can be seen under the forum text entry field added under Private message text entry field. [b]√[/b] 6. Change all forums to a page flip integration rather than changing the URL for forums. 7. Shock Sites, Be Gone with you! - More with Rokit 8. Ability to "favorite" a forum and have quick access to all your favorites. [b]√[/b] 9. Minigames on Bungie.net. - Gnop, Pimps at Sea, Scrabble etc. 10. An option to browse Bungie.net on a secure connection (https) whenever possible would be great.[/spoiler] [b]Private Groups/Chapters[/b] - Keep in mind that Private Groups are still being worked on significantly. [spoiler]1. Ability to post embedded pictures in news updates [b]√[/b] 2. Mass Private Messaging - more with spawn031 3. Personalized navigation through public forums and private chapters - set your own quick links for personal forums you visit most. [b]√[/b] 4. "Most popular thread" feature on Private groups homepage. 5. Custom emblem or picture to post on private groups homepage. 6. Clans/Private chapters - Stats, Leaderboards, Events calendar. Also search groups by game pictures, humpday challenges and compare groups by achievements. 7. Sort private groups by age or activity. "Activ-O-meter" [b]√[/b] 8. Viewable post history for private groups. Only to yourself. [b]√[/b] 9. Searchbar within private groups. - with Spartan1065 10. Ability to assign colored text/titlebar to security roles within group. Ex: Full control gold, mods are salmon etc. 11. Allow custom group color schemes/themes for assigned security roles. 12. Ability to move pinned topics into a "locked" position. [b]√[/b] 13. Indication of pending group approvals. Ability to cancel a request to a group. [b]√[/b] 14. Automatic group title progression system? - with AcedannyK 7 15. Ability to turn off spam and -blam!- filter for groups 16. Allow group names to start with numbers. 17. Allow founder to be permanently linked to a group, unless they transfer ownership. [b]√[/b] 18. Have current "administrators" of groups be displayed on the group's homepage. [b]√[/b] 19. Cannot kick a member who has higher security than yourself. [b]√[/b] 20. Split the edit news permissions even further. Read post that is linked from Cryptic. 21. Add unlimited custom titles for group members. 22. When a NonMember, blacklisted from a group, joins that particular group, he or she should be put into the member queue, even if the group membership is open.[/spoiler] [b]Public Forums[/b] [spoiler]1. See join date underneath users avatar. Before it was changed! 2. *Like* button or star rating system on users posts. [b]√[/b] 3. Remove Classifieds forum, but add a page to submit advertisements for user's individual groups that would be displayed on banners throughout bungie.net. 4. Add "Permalink" option to all users posts (even in private groups) [b]√[/b] 5. Notifications!!!! [b]√[/b] 6. See current post count. See post count on other users. 7. Rename the flood forum? [b]√[/b] 8. See "Views" on each thread in accordance to replies. 9. Ability to choose which title you wear after unlocked. 10. Ability to "unlock" privileges with forum posting. IE - Text boxes, Custom Avatars, Polls, etc. More info here. 11. Destiny integration within forums. New Hawtness update - Note: this isn't the actual update. [b]√[/b] 12. More user friendly for formatting posts. With bold, italics, underline as a button, not as bb code. [b]√[/b] 13. Easier functionality with quoting posts. IE - Not having multiple tabs open for longer posts. [b]√[/b] 14. Different levels of "hot topics". 50 replies = red. 250 replies = blue? [b]√[/b] 15. Option to change ascending/descending posts in threads. More explanation. [b]√[/b] 16. The ability to unsave threads by clicking the save thread button again. [b]√[/b] 17. Save drafts of forum posts. 18. Linked games under the user's display picture - this page [b]√[/b] 19. A restricted public forum? 20. Turn off language filter? 21. Have a "rep" based system for rating posts? [b]√[/b] 22. When viewing the forum index, the "Forum Topics" button should be replaced with a "Back to Forums List" button. [b]√[/b] 23. When viewing a thread, there should be a "back to top" button at the bottom. 24. Forum index on the left side of screen, pinned topics on the right. 25. Listing the users currently viewing a forum at the bottom of the page could be interesting to some people.[/spoiler] [b]Community Integration![/b] [spoiler]1. Community discussions and interviews via webcam style! 2. Bungie.net Community Calendar! - Explained by Hylebos 3. Bungie favorites featured on the homepage? 4. Live streams of Weekly Carnage's? 5. "Featured Users" to give recognition to upstanding members. Maybe a "Member of the week" small award. [b]√[/b] 7. Be part of a community more [b]√[/b] 6. Friends list on Bungie.net 7. Interview/Community Spotlights/Average Joe!/Private Group spotlights! [b]√[/b] 8. Adding somewhere in the forums a place to "introduce" yourself to the community. - More with Spartain Ken 15 [b]√[/b] 9. A community page similar to the old Seventh Column page or Tru7h and Reconciliation page. This page could display statistics as well as the most recent Classifieds, a group spotlight, a member spotlight, upcoming events that Bungie will be at (Comic-Con, PAX, ect), online get togethers (community carnage, tournaments, ect), and more.[/spoiler] [b]Bungie Mobile[/b] [spoiler]1. Bungie Mobile should include a user friendly forums add on :) [b]√[/b] 2. Check PPD, account age, unlocked titles via Bungie Mobile app. 3.
