What is your NAT set to?

Mine's stuck at Strict. I've got a Linksys router, and I do all the things that they say you do. Go to your router, port forward, etc, etc; stuff that everyone does. I hear it's suddenly stopped working, though, and people's NAT have been reset to Strict and there's no way to change it I'm stuck in that situation, unfortunately

  • Is this an one of the original 360 where you have to buy wireless adapter or is it one of the new ones that have the wireless built in.. If its the old one unplug the adapter then unplug it from the 360 then powercycle your router and modem then plug back the adapter it should change the may settings to open. If its new 360 with wifi built in just try power cycling both router and modem

    • Its most likely just an outdated router or the position of it in your house. I had a Linksys router that was pretty good and a few years old, always had open NAT unless it stormed really bad or there was a connection problem. Now I have some stupid Comcast modem+router in the SAME exact spot my old Linksys was, and now I get 1-2 bars out of 3 for connection and my NAT is moderate.

      • Get a new router? I had a Linksys for a couple years with no real problems other than it just didn't have a great wireless range. It required me to do all the port forward stuff as well. I now have a Buffalo N600, and it's remarkably better. Didn't really have to do anything.
